Are Planned Parenthood’s Methods Raising STDs?

I find it very interesting that parts of the country where Planned Parenthood is heavily located have high STD rates. Now some would say that this shows Planned Parenthood has placed their clinics in the right places, but the problem is that STD rates remain high and are often rising in places that Planned Parenthood has heavily operated in for years.

The latest example:
San Diego 6 is reporting: STDs on the Rise in San Diego

Of 56 counties in California, San Diego ranks second for syphilis, and 10th for Chlamydia and gonorrhea.

And California state data shows that the Chlamydia in San Diego has gone up every year for the past 5 years.

Does evidence like this make Planned Parenthood re-think their flawed sexual education methods?

Of course not. What we see is that they use statistics showing increasing STD rates to justify increasing their budget, which ultimately does nothing to bring down STD rates and just expands the abortion industry.

And now for a look at how many clinics Planned Parenthood has in San Diego (this list comes from PlannedParenthood.org):

Planned Parenthood’s sexual education, which emphasizes how to be sexually active Planned Parenthood style (with a condom or birth-control pill), needs serious rethinking as the data shows.

The actual results of Planned Parenthood’s efforts is that young people hear this message and become sexually active…and get STDs…and become pregnant with a child. This problem is illustrated by the 17.4% of  sexually active girls under “typical condom use” who still get pregnant EVERY YEAR. These are people doing things Planned Parenthood style, and look at the results…not good. Also, condoms do not protect against all STDs.

Many others only use the Pill (I won’t get into other health and abortifacient effects here), which doesn’t stop STDs. In short, I believe that Planned Parenthood’s encouraged sexualization of youth is a disaster because young people are not able in large numbers to be sexually active in a responsible way that doesn’t lead to significant STD and pregnancy rates.

What does work? Well, 50 years ago when far more young people were sexually restrained, we did not have nearly the STD or “unwanted” child problem we have today. Having a general understanding of condoms, etc is fine in my view, but when that education is done in a way that promotes the expectations that youth are supposed to be engaging in sexual behavior, a terrible expectation is set and  fulfilled — and with it a wave of STDs and “unwanted” children often lose their lives.

Actually, there are many different parts of San Diego county that are part of the city of San Diego that aren't the city that everyone knows as San Diego, so that's why there are so many locations. For instance, Mira Mesa isn't actually a city, the addresses there are all San Diego. Same with Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain, Torrey Pines, etc. They're all completely separate areas of the county, but are all under the address of San Diego. I live in San Diego county, and I know that it's tough for some people who don't know the area to understand why there are several of the same business in one city.

I'm not defending PP, I hate them in fact, I'm just saying that's why there are so many of them: they want to infiltrate all parts of the city and the county, and so they've set up shop in each area labeled "San Diego". It's not like they're on every block, it just seems that way from the amount of addresses they have here.

As for the county, you're missing a few addresses:

    Carlsbad Isabella Center

    1820 Marron Road, Suite 110

    Carlsbad, CA 92008

    P: 888.743.7526

    Chula Vista Center

    1295 Broadway #201

    Chula Vista, CA 91911

    El Cajon Center

    1685 E. Main Street #301

    El Cajon, CA 92021

    Escondido Center

    347 W. Mission Avenue

    Escondido, CA 92025

PP wants to indoctrinate young people into condom use expressly because they stand to make money when the condoms fail. If adults don't even use condoms consistently and effectively, how can we expect minors to do better? We can't and PP knows this. They have a charming new booklet out telling youngsters with HIV that they ought to be sexually active, "Healthy Happy and Hot." Now, I remember 8th grade biology class. We were taught that if a person had a disease that was communicable, that person ought to avoid spreading it. Would PP put out a booklet telling food workers that washing their hands is oppressive? If they could make money off it, they certainly would, lol! It would probably read like this: "You are hot, food worker, you should express yourself! Don't let the fear of salmonella keep you from experiencing the sensual pleasure of touching other people's food! Go ahead, talk to the bacteria, talk dirty to it! After all, you are hot!" Hm, this would be funnier if it weren't so close to reality.

I laughed so hard while reading that last part, Ninek!

Amy and Ninek, thank you for your accurate statements! Did you know that local school districts are allowed LEGALLY to allow minor girls to get abortions during school hours WITHOUT the knowledge or consent of their parents? I know this firsthand as a former high school employee. Please read the fine print on the beginning of the year health paperwork, it will be stated, but who reads that with everything else to read and sign? Who is going to help these girls when their consciences catch up with them? I know of a local girl, 21, who got an abortion at 17 weeks…that baby had a skull and spine. Google that and find out the gory details of how and what had to be crushed and broken before "extraction". The world doesn't end with a pregnancy, but PP sure helps them take the path of least resistance and most pain (later).

It could also be that Planned Parenthood discourages STD testing if you aren't exhibiting symptoms, and is renowned for giving false negatives when the STD is actually present (crappy lab work, perhaps?)
