While it is correct that preborn humans are genetically homo sapiens, what is unclear is why simply being genetically human warrants full human rights. This is a common assumption which must be supported. Life does technically begin at conception, but do rights begin at conception? Not necessarily; you have failed to prove that it does.

I don't think it's so much that people actually think women become pregnant with a non-living non-human thing. It’s just that by admitting that it IS in fact a living human being they would have to admit that abortion ends a human life. It everyone could agree that abortions take a human life than they would also have to accept that it is by definition murder. People who fight for abortion rights must either defend their actions by denying the humanity of the unborn or admit that they support massive killings. Abortion is simply the biggest genocide the world has ever seen.
