Planned Parenthood’s Idiotic Request
So Planned Parenthood put out a request today over their Twitter account asking for abortion stories. What is so interesting is the sort of stories Planned Parenthood is looking for:
“Congress needs to hear from women who have experienced wanted pregnancies where there was a severe health risk to the fetus, causing the women to choose abortion”
To this I have three points…
- So let me get this right. Planned Parenthood wants stories where a human fetus faces a health risk and the solution is to kill the human fetus through abortion? Talk about health risk. Abortion is the ultimate health risk with a close to 100% success rate (few survive)…success at ending human life. And if you don’t believe that is what it does, you need to watch an actual first trimester abortion.
- What Planned Parenthood is looking for is not stories from people “who have experienced wanted pregnancies where there was a severe health risk to the fetus,” but rather people who wanted a perfect baby, and any sign that the child may not be fully healthy would eliminate that child, not because A child was unwanted, but because THAT child was unwanted. In short, what Planned Parenthood is doing here is promoting the idea that some people are more valuable than others based on the soundness of their physical condition. Doesn’t that sound a little Nazi Germany to you? If children are unwanted, the problem lies not with the children but with a society that says it is acceptable to deny some children love and their very lives.
- As much as Planned Parenthood likes to say that they support all choices, it seems like there are some choices they support more than others. Have you ever seen Planned Parenthood collect stories about a mother choosing to not kill her child or give him or her up for adoption? I’ve never seen it and I doubt I ever will because that isn’t who Planned Parenthood is.
Here is a screen capture of the Planned Parenthood request…

This sickens me. My daughter was nearly aborted twice at 20 wks by her birth mother. The young lady was raped at 13 & taken in for an abortion where she was “counseled” by staff, including the “doctor” that at 20 wks, her baby was not formed yet (they wouldn’t allow her to view the ultrasound). They didn’t tell her about her risks or options, but when asked about adoption, she was told “no one will want a bi-racial rapist’s baby”. When she still hesitated, they told her if she did not consent, she would die. She was the “poster child” for legal abortion having all 3 of the so called “hard cases”: rape, fetal abnormality, & life of the mother. Add to this she was 13, had no job, no education, no family support, & no money or way to care for a child. She consented to the abortion believing she would die having a baby no one would even want. During the dilation (manual! while awake!) she got upset from the pain & the abortionist told her mother to bring more money for general anesthesia because she was making his “job too difficult”. The abortion was rescheduled, but before the appointment, I had the chance to share the realities of fetal development & abortion with her. She chose life & chose adoption. Sadly, the attempt on her life left my daughter with special challenges, but she is God’s gift to us & to this world & her life is & always was one of infinite value! We have a relationship w/ my daughter’s birth mom & stay in regular contact. She loves her daughter, as evidenced by her choices. I wonder if Planned Parenthood would be interested in OUR story? I somehow doubt it! (to read her story, visit Respond For Life on Facebook…”Amazing Grace”)
That is a touching story, and I, sadly, doubt you will be given a significant public forum in which to tell it to those who don’t already share your views. The last time I did research on the subject, I found that only about 4% of abortions are due to health related issues, and the other 96% are simply a means of birth control. I hope that one day people will pay attention to those, like your daughter, who have actually survived attempted abortions. I read a book a few years back about a girl who survived an abortion decades back, and it was very inspiring, yet she is met with hatred in many instances where she is going to share her story and the truth about abortion. I pray that our country will wake up and see that all people have a God-given right to life, that life is precious, and that none of us has the right to take it away from another human being.
David, we’ve got you covered at http://www.LifeNews.com/nat6092.html
What PP is promoting is eugenics, pure and simple.
‘
It is called getting rid of the less desirables of society in the eyes of those doing it, an art the Nazis perfected with their so-called mercy killings, final solution, etc.
Won and I will pray for this situation.
Thou shall not kill.
Yes, it is a liittle Nazi Germany!
Who really wants a Maggie Award?
WE want more babies delivered in this world.
Eric and Won the stork.
uhm… people talking about how this is like nazi germany? no. it isnt. we make hitler look like a humane, loving ruler who didnt have the guts or the ambition to really do what he said he would do. in america we put hitler to shame, with his own ideas. is tha what we want. hell no. but mass media, the schooling system, a whole network really… has kept the truth from us. fight for the truth.
Before you write an article, get your facts straight- the link you posted to the supposed first trimester abortion is most definitely a 2nd trimester abortion… which only account for 1 in 10 abortions done in the US.

Dear Med,
You are factually incorrect.
Most all of the images are 1st trimester. See the documentation at:

I have twin boys, that if it were up to our doctors would not be here today. When i was 10 week i had severe bleed that the doctors told me would kill my boys, but we held on to our faith and they pulled through. At our 16 wk ultrasound the doctor told us that both babies were very sick and probably had down syndrome along with other genetic problems. We decided to have an amniocentices to see what we were dealing with. Before the test was even started they told me to terminate them, i told them that we don’t belive in abortion and never to say it again. In our eyes our boys were ours no matter how hard it was going to be we loved them. When the test results all came back normal we cried for joy. Yes my little guys were early 29 weeks and we had alot of health problems because of that, i would not change a thing. For all those women being hounded to have an abortion because the child is sick think about it for a while. Special needs children can be hard to care for, but they can give you so much love.
