China Attempts to Make One Child Policy More Palatable

China has undertaken a project to make their “slogans” for the One Child Policy sound better to the ear.  Well, at least that’s their goal.  According to the BBC News, China’s Communist Party conducted research on the slogans found around China concerning the policy.

Research by China’s National Population and Family Planning Commission, published in the People’s Daily, concluded that a quarter of slogans posted in furtherance of its policies had been crude and harsh in the past. It described some as spine-chilling.

Among the examples it cited were, “Kill all your family if you don’t follow the rule” and, “If you escape (sterilisation), we’ll hunt you down; if you want to hang yourself, we’ll give you the rope”.

The research said milder expressions should be used to “avoid offending the public and stoking social tensions”.

Of course, the Chinese media—which is the government’s media—blamed officials in local areas for the unpalatable slogans.  They also ensured that everyone knows the One Child Policy will go nowhere.  According to those in power in China, the policy is there to stay.  Read more China Attempts to Make One Child Policy More Palatable

Planned Parenthood Uses New Technology to Take Advantage of College Students

Planned Parenthood thinks everyone wants them in their personal sex lives.

Planned Parenthood is the best deceiver of young people since the evil queen tempted Snow White with that poisoned apple. They have already been successful at reeling in young people with empty promises of carefree, no consequence sex. Now they want students to tell them when, where, and with whom sex is happening at the exact moment it occurs.

Everywhere you look these days, products and advertisements feature QR codes, which can be scanned with smartphones to visit a web site, get a coupon, or learn more information. Now a QR code has been featured on the wrappers of 55,000 condoms handed out to college students by Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest.

When the codes are scanned, users can check in with Planned Parenthood–and the rest of the world–with information including their age, their location, why they use condoms, the status of their relationship or lack of a relationship, and whether or not they had sex in a bed or a kitchen, at a beach or a party. Plus, they can rate the sex from “Things can only improve from here” to “Ah-maz-ing”. But they don’t even need a smartphone or a condom. They can just head to and tell the world about the sex they just had – which the world can tweet about if they wish.  Read more Planned Parenthood Uses New Technology to Take Advantage of College Students

Abortion Funding Muddies the Waters of DC Budget Controversy

Because it is the nation’s capital, the District of Columbia works a little differently from most localities.

For starters, its budgets are subject to review by the United States Congress. The legislative branch of the federal government is currently considering whether or not to give DC greater control over its own budget, but the specter of abortion is complicating the decision.  The Huffington Post states:

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which oversees D.C. affairs, expressed his commitment late last year to giving budget autonomy to the District to help city government avoid a shutdown whenever Congress appears unable to pass a spending bill.

D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D), Mayor Vincent Gray and others welcomed the proposal but reluctantly rejected the plan Issa unveiled in November because it contained a provision barring local funding for abortions — a move Issa said was necessary to win Republican votes. The Advisors Behind the Contraception Mandate

According to ABC’s Jake Tapper, the most influential supporters of the controversial Contraception Mandate were HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, former Director of Domestic Policy Melody Barnes (who has resigned from the Obama administration), Presidential Advisor Valerie Jarrett, and President of Planned Parenthood Cecile Richards.

Other than their support for this mandate, they have something else in common: they are all unabashedly pro-abortion.

Why was Cecile Richards, who is not an official White House advisor, included in the discussions so prominently? Why was someone who could directly benefit from this mandate included, yet the very organizations that would be forced to provide this coverage against their beliefs, were excluded from the conversation?

Feminists: Fighting For The Right To Kill Baby Girls!

A new bill that is working its way through the U.S. House of Representatives has feminists and pro-abortion advocates hopping mad.  The bill, The Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act of 2011, bans abortions performed because of race or gender. Sounds pretty straightforward, right?  Who would really oppose something like that?  After all, most Americans in this day and age are against discrimination.

The answer? Rabid feminists and abortion advocates who will fight against anything that may prevent abortions of any kind.  The NAACP has, rather shockingly, come out against the bill — which, remember, would ban abortions performed solely based on race.  You’d think that this would be something the NAACP would support, especially considering that a staggering 52% of black pregnancies end in abortion. But no, for those that support abortion, the so-called “choice” to kill your baby trumps all.

Likewise, considering that sex-selective abortion is a very real and rampant problem throughout the world–and one that specifically affects unborn females–you’d think that feminists would support this bill wholeheartedly. Michael Stokes Paulsen explains:

Millions of women obtain abortions because they do not want baby girls. Read more Feminists: Fighting For The Right To Kill Baby Girls!

Obama Cites Faulty Pro-Choice Study in Birth Control Debate

If you’ve been paying attention at all to the Contraception Mandate debacle, you have mostly likely heard a liberal politician, pro-choice advocate, or TV talking head, say that the Catholic Church’s stance on birth control is hypocritical because “98% of Catholic women use contraception.”  However, the study they are citing has some serious bias and methodology flaws.

The first problem is that the study was conducted by the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute, which is closely associated with Planned Parenthood and NARAL.  It seems to defy logic that such a biased source would produce results that could be taken seriously.  This bias turns into an even bigger problem when we look at the methodology used in the study.

When you do a poll, the idea is to get a number of responses that will accurately represent the certain sector of society that you wish to study–whether that be a sector based on religion, ideology, socio-economic status, or political party.  The whole point of a poll is to show an accurate picture, but if you choose to limit certain factors, you can seriously bias your results.

After Their Assault On Komen, Planned Parenthood Moves On To Smaller Prey

Attacking Dog

After the Planned Parenthood abortion mob finished with their despicable smear campaign against the Susan G. Komen Foundation, they apparently have decided that it was so successful, they’d like to repeat their actions with other charitable organizations. Only this time, they’re looking to bully smaller prey.

Planned Parenthood of Green Bay decided that they wanted to toy with the Catholic Church this time instead, and called Paul’s Pantry, part of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the largest free food pantry in Wisconsin. They informed the pantry that they had food to donate, and requested that a truck be sent over to pick up the donations. Considering the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, the pantry refused to send a truck over, but didn’t give a reason why. The executive director of the pantry, Craig Robbins, explained,

All I told the young lady from Planned Parenthood was that I couldn’t send a truck to pick up, and gave her a list of other food pantries that might want to pick up, I gave her no reason at all and she didn’t ask why.

But of course, this wasn’t acceptable to Planned Parenthood, and the bullying began almost immediately.

Soon after, I started receiving the hate e-mail and phone calls. I politely explained to callers that although we are non-denominational in regards to those we serve, we are a Catholic organization who shares a board of directors with our sister organization, St. Vincent de Paul. We adhere to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and to the Rule of St. Vincent de Paul. I also explained our Gift Acceptance Policy and how acceptance of the donation would compromise our core values and possibly damage the reputation of Paul’s Pantry.

Planned Parenthood Pushes Bill Forcing Mandatory Abortion Coverage on Pro-Lifers

Planned Parenthood and other abortion industry allies like NARAL are rallying behind a new Washington State bill that would require health insurance coverage for abortion if a health plan covers maternity care.

This act will force everyone, include those with pro-life values, to purchase an insurance plan that pays for elective abortion if they want an insurance plan that contains maternity coverage. Those interested in an insurance plan without abortion coverage would be banned from having their plan cover maternity care.

Pro-Life advocates gathered by the tens of thousands at the Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco, CA held every January.

The bill is called the Reproductive Parity Act or HB 2330 and has passed the House Health Care & Wellness committee and Ways & Means committee on the back of support from Democrats. The companion Senate bill SB 6185 passed the Health & Long-Term Care committee 9 days ago and now heads to the Rules committee. The full state House and Senate have yet to hold a vote.

Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest which is the political lobbying arm of Planned Parenthood of the Northwest states, “we want to make sure all insurance policies provide abortion coverage.”

Planned Parenthood’s New Campaign Capitalizes on Teenage Impulsiveness

Planned Parenthood’s new ad campaign is front and center in my local area. I asked my Facebook friends for their opinions of the “We’re your…” campaign which includes the phrases, “We’re Your Friends with Benefits” and “We’re Your Sexual Fantasy”. Most thought the campaign was smart and effective, and that it speaks well to teenagers. But that’s the problem. The ads paint casual sex as a fun, thrilling ride that all the cool kids are doing. And fun without consequences is to teenagers what candy is to children. Planned Parenthood is doing nothing more than luring teens to their centers like a kidnapper enticing a child to his van with the false promise of candy.

What Planned Parenthood Wants

Planned Parenthood wants the next generation. They want to break down a teen’s modesty, break their trust in their parents, and become their own personal sex expert. And they believe today’s teens want reproductive care with a “dash of humor.” Because what’s funnier than casual sex among sixteen year olds who are not equipped to deal with the responsibility or consequences of their actions?

One commenter on Facebook, Meaghan Kowalski, got it right saying, “Validating, exploiting, and capitalizing on the impulsive tendencies of adolescents is not something to be proud of. This campaign is not advocating for sexual and reproductive health. Grown-ups who care about kids and healthy development teach kids about behavior, choices, and their consequences. Could you imagine if this kind of thing was coming out of the educational system? That would cause an uproar. Our teens and older adolescents deserve better than this. And they are smarter than this.”

The Abortion Mob at Work: Komen’s Mea Culpa Isn’t Good Enough for Jezebel

Today at the Wall Street Journal, James Taranto writes that giving money to Planned Parenthood is similar to a mob protection racket: “nice charity you’ve got there. It’d be a shame if anything happened to it.” But unlike organized crime, Planned Parenthood has a vast army of pro-bono lackeys happy to aid in their shakedown of organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation, asking for nothing in return other than the satisfaction of keeping otherwise-legitimate organizations complicit in bloodshed.

Today’s lackey is Erin Gloria Ryan of She writes that Komen’s latest statement clarifying that they’ll still give money to Planned Parenthood just isn’t good enough: Read more The Abortion Mob at Work: Komen’s Mea Culpa Isn’t Good Enough for Jezebel

A New Parental Notification Initiative in California

Californians will try again to submit a parental notification before abortion initiative that they hope to see voters approve next fall. What does this really means?

Like about a dozen other states, in California a female no matter how young can request an abortion without her parents having to know about it.
