Texas passes ‘sonogram before abortion’ bill

The Texas House has joined the Senate to require women to see a sonogram image of their unborn child before undergoing an abortion, in a 107-42 vote held yesterday.

Hundreds of opponents of the so-called sonogram bill, including a group from Planned Parenthood gathered at the Capitol with plans to stay on the south steps throughout the day.
