God Bless Texas! Another Planned Parenthood abortion facility has closed its doors this week – this time, in Sherman, TX. While this particular center did not perform surgical abortions, it was quite active in abortion referrals and the dispensation of dangerous abortion drugs known to be harmful to women.
The closing comes after Gov. Rick Perry cut $58 million from the state’s budget, forcing Planned Parenthood facilities across Texas to shut down. Other locations to potentially follow suit are Gainesville, Plano, Waxahachie, Mesquite, Arlington North and Terrell clinics.
40 Days for Life, a pro-life campaign that began in Texas, was heavily involved in hosting prayer vigils for the closing of the Sherman, TX Planned Parenthood – and were also responsible for changing the heart of the location’s former manager, leading to her April resignation.
This coming weekend, 40 Days for Life will host a follow-up rally in front of the the former abortion referral center. From LifeNews:
On August 28, there will be a rally … to commemorate the closing of the facility. …[Former manager Ramona] Trevino will share her journey from believing she was providing a service to women in need to realizing that Planned Parenthood “treated women like cattle and how they only cared about making money” – a realization she says was “long overdue.”
