Just this year, the pro-life movement achieved a historic victory in leveraging Congress to Defund Planned Parenthood, stopping the forced taxpayer funding of abortion through Medicaid. Prior to this, Planned Parenthood had been receiving nearly $800 million of our taxpayer dollars annually.
Not only is Planned Parenthood the nation’s largest abortion chain, but they are also one of the nation’s largest distributors of cross sex hormones, giving these drugs to minors with little oversight or accountability. Planned Parenthood also disseminates material that encourages harmful sexual behaviors, and greatly exaggerates the amount of real health services they offer.

More Abortions, Fewer Services
Though abortions and taxpayer dollars have drastically increased, Planned Parenthood’s other services and clientele have plummeted over the years.
Planned Parenthood’s total number of clients has decreased nearly 33% since 2006. Today, just 2% of women of reproductive age receive services from Planned Parenthood.
Prenatal Services
Planned Parenthood commits slightly over 57 abortions for every one prenatal care service it provides. Since 2000, Planned Parenthood aborted ~7.9M preborn children.
Adoption Referrals
For every adoption referral, Planned Parenthood kills over 143 preborn children. Adoption referrals are still down over 38% from a high of ~4.9k in 2007. Contraceptive Services
Planned Parenthood’s total contraceptive services (which includes “counseling and care”) are down over 43% (from just over 4M) in 2009.
Total Cancer Screenings
Total cancer screenings are down over 82% in a 20-year period.
Breast Screenings
Breast Care Services plummeted over 85% from a high of more than 1M in 2000. The organization occasionally partners with mobile mammogram clinics to offer screening outside its facilities, but PP only offers “breast exam” services and advises potential clients to seek referrals for mammograms. Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms, despite claims to the contrary.
Pap Tests
Pap Tests are down nearly 86% from a high of almost 1.2M in 2004. Less than 1% of women receive their Pap tests at Planned Parenthood.
