This week, Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri announced their plans to merge with the Oklahoma affiliate in July. This will create a new, larger, affiliate, called Planned Parenthood Great Plains… and will mean that every single Planned Parenthood affiliate in the United States will commit abortions.
Five years ago, in 2011, Planned Parenthood issued a mandate requiring every affiliate to provide abortions by 2013. Since then, the number of affiliates has been steadily declining. Some affiliates merged in order to keep up with the mandate; others left the national abortion giant because they wanted to continue focusing on health care, and not abortion.
Each affiliate is required to have at least one abortion facility, and any facilities that do not commit abortions must be able to refer women to a Planned Parenthood clinic within the same affiliate that does.
Planned Parenthood has continued to promote the myth that it is a health care organization, where the focus is on helping low-income women get services they cannot obtain anywhere else. The truth is, the abortion corporation lies about the services it provides.
In addition, Planned Parenthood has falsely stated that it provides services, such as mammograms, and lies about the number of abortions it commits. The simple fact is that Planned Parenthood’s business is abortion, not health care.
