Abortion is touted as safe and legal, yet Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri just sent its 65th patient to the hospital since 2009 on March 24th, according to Operation Rescue. If this story sounds familiar, that’s because the facility had sent its 64th patient to the hospital less than two weeks before. These numbers are staggering, with ambulance transports occurring on average once every six weeks since 2009.
According to Operation Rescue:
A photograph of the incident was taken by a member of the Coalition for Life St. Louis during a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil. The picture was snapped moments before Planned Parenthood workers deployed tarps, known as the “Sheets of Shame,” to block pro-life supporters from documenting the emergency.
The photo showed a woman on a gurney who was completely covered with sheets as she was removed from the notorious Planned Parenthood abortion facility for emergency transport.
The reason for all these complications may have something to do with conditions which are not only poor, but worsening. The facility has received several Statement of Deficiency Reports from state health inspectors, with 53 percent of them “related to failure to provide a safe and sanitary environment,” says Operation Rescue, which provided a full report in January.
For all these failings, Operation Rescue President Troy Newman said they “consider this the most dangerous abortion facility in the U.S.” He also spoke of the hypocrisy and double standard when it comes to abortion incidents:
If any other medical office in the country was calling for emergency assistance for patients as often as this facility is, it would be a public scandal. Investigative reporters would be falling over themselves trying to expose this safety crisis. But since abortion is involved, there is not one word from the media. Their silence is enabling this dangerous abortion business to continue the carnage of babies and mothers alike.
The facility is the only facility currently committing abortions in Missouri, making the state one of six with only one abortion facility. Unfortunately, a closer look of these six facilities reveals that the kind of care women receive there is far from the best.
As Live Action News reported, the Twitter account for Planned Parenthood Missouri Advocates, which describes itself as a “joint project” of the facility, tweeted about the St. Louis facility in question just one day after the incident occurred:

Such a picture may be playful, but when a patient is sent to the hospital just the day before, it’s certainly not fun and games.
