On Tuesday morning, Live Action released another video, proving that Planned Parenthood is America’s Abortion Corporation. The video details the difference in what women hear about Planned Parenthood from some politicians and what Planned Parenthood actually says to women when they seek health care.
While Planned Parenthood is constantly called a women’s ‘health care provider,’ the organization often denies needed services to women. Despite repeated claims from politicians that Planned Parenthood is necessary for prenatal care, women who seek this care find the opposite is true.
When Live Action investigators called 97 Planned Parenthood facilities, 92 turned them away when they asked for prenatal care. Again and again, women were told that Planned Parenthood didn’t offer that; that Planned Parenthood’s main ‘service’ was abortion; that Planned Parenthood couldn’t help.
Some politicians continue to spread other misleading information about Planned Parenthood — including the lie that the abortion giant performs mammograms. After telling the nation that her organization offered mammograms, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards had to backtrack and admit that Planned Parenthood has never provided mammograms and cannot do so.
Talking points are one thing, and facts are another. Planned Parenthood and its political allies can — and probably will — continue to claim that the abortion corporation is necessary for women’s health. However, the facts and the research prove otherwise. Planned Parenthood stands constantly willing and ready to perform abortions (including the most common abortion procedure in the United States, detailed in the video below). But if women are seeking prenatal care, mammograms, or other real health care options, they will have to find their care elsewhere.
It’s past time for Congress to act on defunding Planned Parenthood. Taxpayers should not be forced to give another cent to a deceitful organization that pushes its abortion agenda on women. At a time when women are are seeking real options and health care that will enable them to give life to their children, Planned Parenthood says that abortion is the only legitimate option. This is the truth about America’s Abortion Corporation that our elected officials need to know and spread. The public deserves the real facts about Planned Parenthood.
