Christina Bennett of Live Action Speaks at the UN on the International Day of Families
Washington, D.C. – Today, Live Action News Correspondent Christina Bennett speaks at the United Nations on the International Day of Families. Her presentation will focus on the need for education in schools about human development, teaching children about the beginning of human life and equipping families with resources like Live Action’s Baby Olivia video.
Christina Bennett released the following comment:
“My mother, while pregnant with me, attempted an abortion. Thankfully she walked out of the abortionist’s office after talking to a hospital janitor who encouraged her to keep me. Growing up I struggled with feelings of rejection. In my 20’s I learned how my mother fought for my life which solidified the truth that I was valuable.
Coming to a realization of the truth of your own dignity and worth is a powerful thing. That’s why I am grateful for the Baby Olivia video. Too many people have believed lies about the humanity of preborn children. Society has told us babies in the womb are mere cells and tissue, to be discarded at whim. Baby Olivia uses medically accurate animation to enlighten and educate. It is urgently necessary to teach the truth that human beings from the moment of fertilization are human and worthy of protection. Every student deserves access to world-class educational materials on human development. North Dakota and Tennessee are leading the way, and I am confident many other states and school districts will follow.”
