“While Congress has repeatedly been unable to get the votes to defund Planned Parenthood, we have an opportunity to bypass Congress and defund now through executive action. Time is of the essence. Every day, Planned Parenthood ends the lives of 912 children, continuing their aggressive push to grow their abortion business. New York’s legalization of abortion through all nine months and the attempts of lawmakers in Virginia and Vermont to do the same are examples of the horrific abortion laws that Planned Parenthood champions. The President should fulfill his campaign promise to defund Planned Parenthood of taxpayer dollars.

“The abortion giant released an aggressive plan to increase abortions in 2019 (it already takes the lives of over 320,000 preborn children every year), and Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen admitted this month, “Our core mission is providing, protecting and expanding access to abortion.” Because taxpayers are forced to send Planned Parenthood over half a billion dollars a year in financial support, we are helping to keep the abortion corporation’s doors open and make this expansion possible. The abortion corporation has been involved in Medicaid fraud, the cover-up of child sexual abuse, the trafficking of baby body parts, and other abusive activities that should disqualify it under current law from receiving public aid. Planned Parenthood’s own newly released annual report shows its abortions and taxpayer funding have continued to increase while services such as cancer screenings and breast exams have continued to decline. We must defund Planned Parenthood now. Every day we wait, Planned Parenthood receives another $1.5 million from taxpayers and continues to kill another 912 innocent children.”
