Live Action Releases ‘Truth About Sex’ Video Series
Washington, D.C. – Live Action – one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations – has released a revolutionary new video series that dives deep into the history of American sexual culture, shedding light on the truth about marriage and family while addressing the kind of sexual ethics that lead towards human flourishing. Over the next six weeks, the organization will release two videos per week – one short documentary and one exclusive interview.
Each video in the series is hosted by the President and Founder of Live Action, Lila Rose.
“Daily in America, over 2800 preborn children are brutally murdered by abortion. These daily mass casualty events are a crisis of massive proportions. Ending this crisis means completely protecting human life and making abortion illegal and unthinkable. To make abortion unthinkable, we must fix the culture that breeds abortion.
Nearly 9 in 10 children who are aborted have unmarried parents. A culture that promotes sex outside of marriage is a culture that doesn’t value life. To end abortion, we must address the elephant in the room – the rampant sexual promiscuity and confusion of our time, which increases demand for abortion. As a culture, our sexual ethics reflect who we are and shape our collective future. We must rediscover the truth about sex, cherish marriage, and create a society where every child gets to experience their right to a loving mother and father who are married.”
Our culture today is downstream from a massive sexual revolution that took place 2000 years ago in the Roman Empire. The first video in the series, The Sexual Revolution of the Roman Empire, delves into the original sexual revolution: early Christians in the Roman Empire who reformed the world’s largest superpower from the inside out.
Additional topics will be covered throughout the campaign include:
- How You Think About Sex
- Four Big Lies About Sex
- The Magic of Monogamy
- Fatherlessness & Abortion
- The Problems with Contraception
The release features exclusive interviews by Lila Rose with experts in their respective fields, including:
- Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse- Founder of the Ruth Institute, an interfaith, international coalition to defend the family and build a Civilization of Love
- Helen Alvare – Robert A. Levy Endowed Chair in Law and Liberty at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University
- Brad Wilcox – Senior fellow at the Institute for Family Studies, Director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia, and a Visiting Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute.
- Carl Trueman – Christian theologian and Professor of Biblical and Religious Studies at Grove City College
- Jason Evert – Catholic author and speaker; Founder of Totus Tuus Press and Chastity Project
- Matt Fradd – Author, creator, and host of the Pints With Aquinas podcast
Rose continues, “Our in-depth conversations bring to life the topics discussed in the series by addressing these problems in society and how we can begin to solve them by embracing a new culture; one that is based upon a commitment-based sexual ethic along with love and respect between men, women, parents and children. This content will open eyes, change minds, and encourage positive changes within our culture that will save lives.”
