Pictures speaks a thousand words, and images have the power to propel movements. The photos below of the victims of second trimester abortions speak of lifetimes and generations of preborn children – all lost to abortion.
Science affirms that preborn children aren’t “clumps of cells” or “tissue,” but human beings who are capable of more than we ever imagined. The abortion industry’s lies surrounding fetal development can be tossed aside thanks to advancements in science and technology. Although science and reason tell us that preborn children are human beings, it is legal in the U.S. to kill these children up until the moment of birth.
The children in these photographs were aborted at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in the early 1980s. They were eventually smuggled out of the pathology lab there, given to Citizens for a Pro-life Society, and provided proper burials. (Images courtesy of ProLifeSociety.com and ImagesOfAbortion.com).

The 18-week preborn child in the photos above was aborted using the saline abortion method which has a high rate of children being born alive, including survivors like Melissa Ohden and Gianna Jessen. During a saline abortion, the child is burned alive in her mother’s womb in a saline solution that is injected. It takes hours for the child, who can feel pain at an extreme level, to die before the mother gives birth to a stillborn baby.
A prostaglandin abortion, which killed the preborn children pictured above, kills the child with the use of the chemical hormone prostaglandin. Children die due to being premature and enduring the trauma of a violent labor brought on by the chemical. Many children aborted using this method have survived.
In the video below, former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino discusses the common D & E abortion procedure used between 13 and 24 weeks gestation on children like the ones pictured above:
Children at 21 weeks and older are aborted using this method every day, yet they are able to survive outside the womb with medical intervention, including children like Benson. Shockingly, babies older than this are aborted in the United States for any reason despite the fact that many can survive with or without the need for medical intervention.
When we look at ultrasound images and we listen to the experts, we can clearly see that fetuses are human children. Yet it hasn’t been enough to convince pro-abortion groups and politicians that the senseless killing needs to end. Perhaps, if we pull back the curtain and look at images of children aborted after the 20-week mark, we will see and admit the truth.
Dr. Levatino describes how abortionists kill these children in the third trimester:
The images are unsettling, but they prove the humanity of fetuses – preborn human beings tucked inside the womb. Still growing, still developing just as those of us outside the womb are, but legally targeted for a brutal and cruel death.
