Hollywood apparently isn’t interested in releasing a movie to theaters documenting the illegal “House of Horrors” formerly run by late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell has been labeled as one of America’s biggest serial killers — due to the unknown number of born-alive infants likely killed at his facility — and while he was convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of three infants, many people are unaware of who he is.
Hollywood would like to keep it that way.
Gosnell’s abortion facility opened for business in 1979, according to the Daily Signal:
[I]t went almost two decades without being inspected by state health officials. Prosecutors and former clinic workers said the operating rooms were stocked with filthy, corroded instruments and outdated machines.
The report from the Grand Jury that convicted Gosnell said:
This case is about a doctor who killed babies … What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors …. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.
Still, despite the ghoulish details surrounding this case, it was almost completely censored by mainstream media, just as the major film distributors are now refusing to distribute it to theaters.
The filmmakers ran a historic crowdfunding campaign, raising over $2.3 million, and setting a funding record.
The producers, who have also written a book about Gosnell, are now planning an independent release by necessity. They say test screenings have garnered “off the charts” approval from audiences.
The Center for Medical Progress’ David Daleiden, whose undercover videos continue to inspire a defund Planned Parenthood movement in Congress and across many state legislatures, described the Gosnell movie as “the best film about abortion ever made.”
Newsbusters’ Katie Yoder points out that Hollywood is rejecting Gosnell not because it is “too controversial,” but because it does not follow the usual pro-abortion Hollywood script.
In a letter to supporters of the movie, the filmmakers wrote:
We’ve spent many months showing this film to every major distributor in Hollywood. None of them will distribute it.
Hollywood’s refusal to distribute the Gosnell movie is a politically-motivated double standard because the Gosnell movie is a true story and it shines a negative spotlight on abortion.
