Operation Rescue has reported that an ambulance appeared to have transported a patient from Planned Parenthood in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the hospital. On March 17, 2017, St. Patrick’s Day, pro-life activists spotted the ambulance and recorded a video. The activists said in the video that they tried to provide the man escorting the patient with post-abortion healing information but he turned them away.
This isn’t the first time in recent history that an ambulance has been needed to take a patient to the hospital from this Planned Parenthood facility. Over the course of just four months in 2015, emergency situations took place at the clinic and an ambulance was requested. Those emergencies occurred on March 12, May 8, and June 26, 2015. One of the recordings of an incident includes a 911 call from Planned Parenthood during which the clinic staff member requests that the ambulance driver refrain from using sirens when approaching and that it drive to the back door.
Not many details are known about the latest medical emergency at the Ann Arbor Planned Parenthood, however, Operation Rescue has reported that they have “documented eight medical emergencies at Planned Parenthood abortion facilities nationwide in the opening weeks of 2017.” There is no telling how many other emergencies have occurred around the country without pro-life activists there to witness, document, and report them.
“While we don’t have a lot of information on this obvious medical emergency at Planned Parenthood in Ann Arbor, when we look at how many of these incidents are taking place around the country, it becomes obvious that there is a health and safety crisis at Planned Parenthood abortion facilities around the nation,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Since Planned Parenthood insists on profiting from the killing of innocent children and can’t keep their patients out of the emergency rooms and morgues, taxpayers should not be subsidizing their carnage. We must continue to urgently press Congress to defund Planned Parenthood.”
Planned Parenthood has fought against legislation that would require its abortionists to have hospital admitting privileges at local hospitals in case of emergencies.
