Last year, abortionist Robert Santella was caught on video in a disturbing rant, during which he threatened a pro-lifer and said that he loved killing babies. That video, along with other issues, led to Santella losing his medical license. In addition to his bizarre and offensive rant, Santella was found to be overprescribing opioids, failed to maintain accurate records, and botched at least one abortion. Now, the abortion facility where Santella had his altercation with a pro-lifer has been shut down.
FPA Women’s Health is a chain of abortion facilities in California. The Miramar Road facility in San Diego, where Santella practiced, has been closed, although other locations remain open. According to Operation Rescue, the now-closed location had been the site of several botched abortions, one of which was at Santella’s hands.
It is believed that the closure may have been due to the opening of a crisis pregnancy center next door, which offered women alternatives to abortion. After closing the Miramar Road location, FPA Women’s Health relocated to El Cajon.
“We are thankful that this abortion business has been once again forced to move, thanks to the prayers and action of pro-life activists, who have been so faithful on the sidewalks throughout the decades. When abortion businesses relocate, it usually results in a loss of business – which means babies’ lives are spared,” Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said in a statement. “We pray the El Cajon FPA office shuts down soon and has nowhere to relocate.”
