The United States Government Accountability Office has just released a report revealing that, between the years 2013 and 2015, Planned Parenthood took in $1.5 billion in taxpayer dollars, with most of the funds coming from the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
Throughout those three years, the abortion corporation spent over $288 million in government funds, as well as $1.2 billion in Medicaid reimbursements. This is despite the fact that Planned Parenthood’s health care services have continued to decrease while its abortions have increased — even though nationally, abortions have decreased. And while Planned Parenthood claims to be the nation’s foremost health care provider for women, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Planned Parenthood claims to provide prenatal care, but this is mostly a lie. A Live Action investigation found that in the vast majority of locations, the abortion profiteer provides little to no prenatal services. Once the deception was exposed, Planned Parenthood scrubbed prenatal care services from most online listings. Planned Parenthood is also not interested in adoption, either; in fact, for every adoption referral they make, 160 children are aborted.
Health care services aren’t much better. They perform a tiny percentage of health care screenings; less than 2% of all cancer screenings, less than 1% of all pap exams, and less than 2% of all breast exams. And these services have been dropping each year: breast exams by over 60%, cancer screenings and prevention by over 68%, and pap tests by 77%.
It’s beyond clear that Planned Parenthood exists solely as an abortion corporation — not surprising, as they are the nation’s largest abortion provider. Yet, despite the Hyde Amendment banning federal dollars being used for abortion, this organization is literally raking in billions of dollars so they can take the lives of innocent preborn children.
Imagine how much good could be done if those billions were redirected to health care organizations that actually do provide health care.
