UPDATE 5/8/19: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the name of their baby boy: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

5/7/19: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex — Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle — welcomed a baby boy on May 6, 2019, and based on a video circulating of Prince Harry, he couldn’t be happier to be a father.

“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy baby boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well,” he said while beaming with joy. “It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine.”

The prince applauded the strength of women and thanked everyone for their love and support.

“I am so incredibly proud of my wife,” he said. “And as every father and parent would ever say your baby is absolutely amazing.”

He added that despite the baby arriving after his due date, the new parents had yet to settle on a name. They plan to announce the baby’s name and give the world its first few of the new prince in two days.

Reporters noted that Harry “can’t stop smiling” after the birth of his son. His joy is written all over his face.

“This little thing is absolutely to die for so I’m just over the moon,” he said.

All babies should be welcomed and celebrated with the amount of joy and love that Prince Harry is showing for his son. And all women should be supported in their pregnancy and told that they are strong and capable of carrying a child whether they choose adoption or parenting. Every life is precious and worthy of respect.

Congratulations to the new parents!
