According to LifeNews, three acts of vandalism against pro-lifers have been reported in just the past two weeks on college campuses in the United States.
About two weeks ago, pro-life posters at Wellesley College advertising an event with Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins were vandalized. On one of the posters, pro-abortion individuals drew devil horns and fangs on Hawkins’s photo and wrote: “transphobic, anti-woman pig.”
“[A]head of my visit, Wellesley students provided ample evidence that they hate not what we actually believe, but what they think we believe,” Hawkins wrote for Townhall. “Students prepared for my visit by disseminating a 30-page document in which they attached every unfounded, trendy label they could to smear my name and included an 800-signature petition urging Wellesley to cancel my speech and shut down the school’s only pro-life campus group, Wellesley For Life. Students also posted outraged and threatening social media posts and publish[ed] a defamatory article in the school newspaper which is now the top search engine result for my name.”

Despite the threats, Hawkins went on with her speech with hundreds of pro-abortion students present. Hawkins was able to speak to them about common ground and prove that pro-lifers care about women.
Then at Xavier University in Ohio on Wednesday, Xavier Students for Life and the Network of Enlightened Women set up a pro-life display on campus in order to remember the lives lost to abortion. But on Thursday morning, the pro-life students said their display had been defaced.
According to the Xavier Newswire, an LED display reading “Pro Woman, Pro Life,” and signage were dismantled. This is not the first time pro-lifers have been targeted at the school. In October 2018, Students For Life created a pro-life chalk display that was erased by pro-abortion students who threw hot water on it.
The third act of vandalism in the last two weeks occurred at Dartmouth College, where pro-life posters were torn down the week of October 20. The posters are said to have been advertising the “Truth About Abortion,” including an image of a preborn baby, which someone ripped apart in the act of vandalism. Other posters were vandalized with pro-abortion comments.
“We’ve never had a response like this,” College Republicans club vice president Chloe Ezzo told Campus Reform. Everyone is “free to come and question the speakers at the end of the event, but to harass our members and vandalize is authoritarian and their way of trying to silence us.”
Attacks against pro-lifers have been increasing in recent years, including the use of a gun to threaten pro-lifers, as well as attacks on elderly pro-lifers.
