The 2023 Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, were at the White House on Tuesday by invitation from President Joe Biden. Among them was Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker, who sported pro-life attire — including a one-of-a-kind original tie made specifically for him in collaboration with Live Action* — to the event with the pro-abortion president.
Butker, who kicked a 27-yard field goal to put the Chiefs ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in the last moments of the game in February, is known as a strongly pro-life, devout Catholic. Live Action created the tie in collaboration with Butker. It is embroidered with the words “Protect the Most Vulnerable” in Latin — “Vulnerari Praesidio.” Butker paired the tie with a gold pin created with a reference photo to be the exact size of a 10-week-old preborn baby’s feet.
Biden is a self-professed pro-abortion Catholic and the Biden Administration has become the most pro-abortion administration in history. Butker took the White House visit as an opportunity to stand for the protection of preborn children from abortion.
“I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” said Butker in a press release on Tuesday, which also noted that Butker “used the visit to the White House as an opportunity to highlight the forgotten of our society by partnering with LIVE ACTION in creating a custom tie that he wore with his suit. With the words, ‘protect the most vulnerable’ written in Latin, and a baby feet lapel pin, Butker made a powerful message to the world.”
He added, “As a father who has experienced three miscarriages, my wife and I understand the hardships that come with losing a child. Every life is precious and should be valued whether outside or inside the womb.”

Last year, as Kansas prepared to vote on a pro-life amendment that ultimately failed — the “Value Them Both Amendment” — Butker appeared in a Catholic Vote commercial in support of the amendment. The amendment would have stated that the Kansas constitution does not secure a “right to abortion” or require government (taxpayer) funding of abortion. Instead, opponents deceptively (and successfully) painted the amendment as a ban on abortion.
Butker told the Catholic News Agency, “I think God has definitely given me a platform. He’s given me a voice for a lot of people that aren’t able to voice their opinions. I put so much into being the best kicker I can possibly be and for whatever reason, God has allowed me to continue to be successful as a kicker. I’m so thankful for that. My success in football has given me a pedestal and I feel a responsibility to raise awareness to different issues that I think God wants me to bring to the forefront.”
