Former Pussycat Doll and singer Kaya Jones has released the music video for her new single “Breathe Into Me,” citing her pro-life beliefs and past experience with abortion as key inspirations for the song.
During an interview with the 700 Club Interactive, she was asked what message she would like audiences to hear when it comes to the pre-born.
“That they’re babies,” Jones said. “That they are babies. That it’s not a clump of cells.”
“That (God) knew us before He formed us in the womb,” she continued, saying that people need “to realize what what we are doing is (causing) severe ramifications in the spiritual and in the natural.”
“We need a surgeon general warning for young girls,” she continued. “That you understand the ramifications because the PTSD is very real and we don’t talk about it.”
Jones also brought up how abortion affects men, saying that it is not discussed enough.
“And we don’t talk about what the men go through either,” she said. “And in later years, I can’t tell you how many men I’ve prayed for or over that have really felt broken, that no one listened, or no one’s talked to them about it. And I think it’s time.”
Jones previously spoke about how pressure from the entertainment industry coerced her into getting several abortions and how she regrets those decisions.
“After the first one, you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong,” she said in an interview with Christine Yeargin. “It’s been normalized. And what is a line until you’ve crossed it? … Once you’ve crossed that line, it’s a very slippery slope to continue to cross those lines.”
“I was told to get rid of it,” she continued. “And at that point, because I had already gone through an abortion previously, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal.”
“You will regret it your whole life,” Jones said. “Even if I become a mother tomorrow, and I’m happily married and all is well, I’m still going to regret the three children I did not have.”
“It is very painful. There is a lot of anger. There’s a lot of frustration,” she added. “There’s a lack of knowledge. There’s a lot of regrets. And nothing can make that go away other than God himself when you lay it at his feet and ask for salvation on these issues.”
