According to the pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue, two women suffered serious injuries at a well-known Ohio abortion business in just 10 days.
In March 2024, staff at Women’s Med Center of Dayton, an abortion facility located in Kettering, Ohio, called 911 to report injuries and request emergency transport to a hospital. The first 911 call went out on March 12 at about 3:30 in the afternoon, according to Operation Rescue. An employee named Leah told the 911 operator that a woman was experiencing a sudden drop in hemoglobin and was fainting when she tried to stand. The woman had just undergone a D&C suction abortion, which is a first trimester procedure.
Leah said that the woman did not have “obvious hemorrhage” but, according to Operation Rescue, it is usually because of anemia that can result from a large and sudden loss of blood. Despite the serious threat to the woman’s health, Leah told the 911 operator that transport to the hospital could be “non-emergent.” Operation Rescue reports that this particular abortion facility has a history of telling 911 that injuries are “non-emergent.”
The second 911 call went out on March 21 at about 12:15 p.m., just nine days after the other call. That employee reported that the patient “keeps repeatedly having a seizure.” Operation Rescue states that seizures could be the result of a drug allergy, an overdose of anesthesia, or an abortion-related injury.
“This abortion mill has a long history of twisting the truth and downplaying life-threatening injuries,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Not only are these clear examples of the callousness and carelessness this facility is known for, but they are also accounts of incredibly misguided mothers who must have thought it was a reasonable solution to end the lives of their innocent children. They surely had no idea of the looming danger inside the killing center. We can only imagine the fear and remorse they experienced for trusting the abortionists and staff at this killing center with their wellbeing.”
In November, Live Action News reported that Women’s Med Center of Dayton called 911 on October 25 for a 33-year-old woman who was experiencing bleeding from her cervix following a “difficult procedure.” Prior to that, a woman was transported to a hospital in July from the abortion business after experiencing “severe cyclic vomiting and intense abdominal pain.” Women’s Med Center of Dayton is owned by late-term abortionist Martin Haskell, a pioneer of the D&X abortion procedure commonly known as “partial-birth” abortion. The facility has been the site of numerous abortion injuries over the years.
The current health status of the injured patients remains unknown at this time.
