Abortion Free New Mexico is reporting that two women were injured at the University of New Mexico Center For Reproductive Health (UNMCRH) abortion facility in Albuquerque on April 10.
According to eyewitnesses, the first injury occurred at 2:30 p.m., when a fire engine, police car, and two ambulances were called onsite and a woman was seen being wheeled out of the facility on a gurney. At 4:00 p.m. the same afternoon, another woman was reportedly transported to the hospital. The extent of the injuries and the women’s conditions at this time are unknown.
The UNMCRH abortion business kills preborn children up to 24 weeks gestation — weeks past the stage at which these children can survive outside the womb with assistance. Abortions at this late stage are normally done via the induction procedure, which takes two to three days to complete due to the child’s large size.

During the induction abortion procedure, the woman first takes mifepristone, which blocks progesterone and cuts off nutrients from the growing baby. Because this alone may not cause the child’s death, the mother is typically injected with a drug called digoxin, which causes the baby to go into cardiac arrest. In some cases, the needle containing digoxin will be inserted directly into the baby as the abortionist is guided by ultrasound. The preborn baby usually dies within 24 hours of a digoxin injection, and labor is then induced so the mother will deliver her stillborn child.
Risks of this procedure include incomplete abortion, cervical laceration, infection, hemorrhage, uterine rupture, and even death.
“Abortion at any stage of pregnancy is a brutal violent act. Precious unborn children pay the ultimate price with their lives but many times, as documented twice today, women sustain life threatening injuries because abortions are incredibly invasive and unnatural,” said Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico. “Many women seeking abortions are not fully aware of the risks and they are even less likely to be told, by the abortion industry, about the alternatives to abortion. The pro-abortion community doesn’t care about women’s health, they just demand unrestricted abortion regardless of the life threatening consequences.”
