A shocking story out of southwest Florida recounted a teacher’s disturbing discovery upon his return to school after summer vacation. Inside a cabinet in his classroom at Cape Coral High School, the teacher found a brown paper bag containing a mason jar that held the remains of a four-month-old fetus.
According to reports, the unborn child was 8 inches long, with an attached umbilical cord of 8 1/2 inches. The baby was well-developed with normally formed eyes, ears, toes, and feet. Medical examiners found no evidence of trauma to the fetus, which was well-preserved, and the cause of death is still under investigation. Who the parents are, and why the baby was left in the classroom over the summer vacation, are questions that have yet to be answered.
