Planned Parenthood’s multi-million-dollar abortion clinic rejected by Louisiana Department of Health

For now, Planned Parenthood does not perform abortions in Louisiana — recently named “the most pro-life state.” But this isn’t for lack of wanting to.

America’s abortion giant has been in the process of building a sizeable clinic, costing over $4 million, in New Orleans. There are five abortion clinics statewide, and Planned Parenthood wants a chunk of the change.

This despite the words of Cecile Richards, Planned Parenthood’s president. When she came to visit New Orleans, she said:

A lot of people in the health care community are excited that someone is coming here to expand care, especially for women who aren’t otherwise able to afford it. And a lot of women here need it. That’s what we do. That’s what Planned Parenthood represents.

In fact, Planned Parenthood already has a clinic in New Orleans, where some legitimate services — like testing for STDs and screening for cancer — are performed for these needy women.

Planned Parenthood is attempting to expand not so that it can offer real services for women; it already has the facilities to do that. Instead, Planned Parenthood wants to be the third abortion clinic in the city. (And,when was the last time we heard of Planned Parenthood performing abortions for free? Instead, abortions are its biggest money-maker by far.)

Thankfully, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has cut through the bluster and fancy words. It has unceremoniously denied Planned Parenthood’s application to perform abortions in New Orleans, declaring that:

… [y]our application failed to establish the probability of serious, adverse consequences to recipients’ ability to access outpatient abortion services if you are not allowed to apply for licensure.

Planned Parenthood's not welcome.

Planned Parenthood’s not welcome.

Simply put, Planned Parenthood’s abortion “services” aren’t needed or welcome in New Orleans. Too much baby-killing happens here already.

Naturally, Planned Parenthood has vowed to fight the rejection (presumably through either an appeal or a lawsuit), not wanting to pluck its greedy hands out of the proverbial honeypot. Planned Parenthood knows all too well the money that’s to be gained — particularly from aborting the children of low-income minority women.

Historically, Planned Parenthood has targeted minority women for abortion, and over 60% of New Orleans’ population is black. According to BlackGenocide.org:

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America. 78% of their clinics are in minority communities. Blacks make up 12% of the population, but 35% of the abortions in America. … Isn’t that genocide? We are the only minority in America that is on the decline in population. If the current trend continues, by 2038 the black vote will be insignificant. Did you know that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a devout racist who created the Negro Project designed to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed as undesirables of society? The founder of Planned Parenthood said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.”

In an investigation, Live Action found that Planned Parenthood is indeed all too willing to accept money that specifically targets the lives of black children. You can see more about that here.
