In an inspiring turn of events, the Ocala Women’s Center abortion facility in Florida has closed down, and the building will be used to provide charity to the homeless.
Ocala Women’s Center was one of four Florida abortion facilities operated by James Scott Pendergraft IV, who stands to have his state license revoked by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
Interfaith Emergency Service purchased the building on June 30, and intends to use it to provide homeless people with temporary shelter, medical care, food, clothes, and other assistance.
“This clinic will have a huge impact on the health and well-being of the community,” said IES Executive Director Karla Grimsley. IES is in the process of lining up doctors and dentists willing to donate their time to the shelter.
As Live Action News has covered, Pendergraft is notorious for a long record of misconduct over several states, including possession of illegal narcotics, practicing medicine without a license, botched abortions, and more. Most recently, a South Carolina grand jury indicted him on drug charges.
