Former abortionist describes complications she witnessed

abortion, feminists, late-term abortion, Planned Parenthood, abortionist, forced to abort, dismemberment abortion

Dr. Beverly McMillan, herself a former abortionist, describes the complications she has seen in women coming to see her after their abortions.  She was practicing in Jackson, Mississippi, at the time she said…

Planned Parenthood clinics, and free-standing abortion clinics like them, claim they have an untarnished record of no complications from their abortion procedures, but what they don’t know is that I’m the practitioner who sees their complications.  These women don’t go back to the clinic where they’ve had a bad experience.  They show up in my office or in my emergency room with their bleeding or with their infections or with their retained placenta, needing another D&C.

One wonders how many of the botched abortion victims seen by McMillan ended up being counted in the statistics on abortion complications. Since the states that require complications to be reported usually depend on the abortion facilities to make the reports, it’s likely most of them weren’t.

Although the reference is an older one, the recent Supreme Court decision nullifying common sense health regulations at abortion clinics makes it relevant. Complications due to abortion have been a silent epidemic in our country for decades. With the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down regulations that would have held abortion clinics to basic safety standards, it is likely that doctors like McMillan will see even more botched abortion patients.
