Notorious Planned Parenthood abortionist Leah Torres is at it again, tweetingsomething that has people horrified. Torres, known for her controversial statements about abortion on Twitter, spoke out in response to someone questioning her about what God would think of her job as an abortionist.
“Everyone seems to assert they know what god thinks, so have at it,” she wrote. “God performs way more abortions than I do, so there’s that.”

God performs way more abortions than I do, so there’s that. https://t.co/mdTPnob8E5

The statement is deeply insulting, not only to Christians, but also to anyone who was suffered a miscarriage, something even people who support abortion pointed out (warning: profanity):
There’s a difference…
You
Are
Not

Hey, I’m pro-choice, but I also lost a son at birth, and had a miscarriage, and that was fucked up nature doing it, not God. Please don’t make this argument.

God grieves with me. He doesn’t do this to me.

Have you ever had to go through one of “God’s abortions”? They are called spontaneous abortions ;or miscarriages. It is not the same things as a woman’s decision. Women have no choice in that. They are painful and heartbreaking not a weapon for a tongue in cheek comment.

I have no clue what God thinks, but I do know when people are being intentionally stupid seeking attention. Conflating a miscarriage with willfully ending life has to be the dumbest thing I’ve seen on Twitter this year. So congrats, you own 2018’s dumbest tweet now.

Despite the avalanche of negative responses to her tweet, Torres refused to back down, and spent days defending it. But this kind of behavior is par for the course for Torres, who has tweeted that preborn babies can’t scream because she cuts their cords first, and that preborn babies are human beings but that shouldn’t stop people from killing them in the womb. She has also said there was nothing shocking in the undercover videos from the Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood officials haggling over the body parts of preborn children, even as Planned Parenthood tried to deceptively claim the videos were heavily edited.

Aside from the obvious dig at Christians, many of whom strongly oppose abortion, the notion of conflating abortion and miscarriage is deeply insulting, yet it’s something that abortionists and their defenders continually seem to do. Miscarriage and abortion are quite different; one is a heartbreaking loss from natural causes, and the second is the intentional taking of a human life. Acting as if women who have lost babies to miscarriage are the same as women who chose abortion is heartless, callous, insensitive, and cruel. As Torres is an OB/GYN, her comments are even more shocking, as one would assume she has counseled countless mothers who are mourning the losses of babies they miscarried. It’s little wonder people were so offended.
