Human Coalition (previously known as Online for Life) recently announced that Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Atlanta is now a member of the Human Coalition family of women’s care clinics. This new clinic will enable Human Coalition to be better equipped to serve the Atlanta community.
According to a press release from Human Coalition, Atlanta is one of the most “abortion-dense cities in the nation,” which is one reason why in 2007, the Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center was opened just two blocks away from a Planned Parenthood facility.
The initiative acquiring the pregnancy center has been praised by national pro-life leaders like Alveda King, and has been supported by local Atlanta pastors. Tom Mason, chairman of the board of directors for the Atlanta facility, noted that the decision to make the pregnancy center a part of the Human Coalition family was approved in a unanimous decision by the board.
The goal of Human Coalition is to make abortion “unthinkable and unavailable in the United States one city at a time.” Human Coalition serves 34 pregnancy care centers across the nation and owns and operates seven pro-life women’s care clinics.
Brian Fisher, president and co-founder of Human Coalition, told Live Action News in a statement:
Our women’s care clinics are a blend of technology, data, best practices, grace, compassion, and tangible help. They are relentlessly focused on serving the abortion-determined woman – someone who is being coerced to abort or has already made up her mind to abort. The Human Coalition clinics are reaching new heights are rescuing children and serving the abortion-determined client, and creating a culture of life in specific cities as a result.
Human Coalition is built on a robust and scalable technology infrastructure that allows us to test new ideas, optimize our practices, and rescue more and more children from abortion. Our ability to rescue children is more than double the national average in our clinics, primarily because the Innovation Team continues to test new methods and ways of better serving abortion-determined women.
At its inception, Online for Life – now known as Human Coalition – was forged when several individuals left corporate jobs to focus their expertise on creating a ground breaking pro-life organization. Live Action News previously reported:
Their vision was to reach women who were considering abortion as early in their options research as possible. To this end, they applied their resources to search engine optimization (SEO), which allowed them to reach women surfing the internet for abortion information with a message of life and hope.
The SEO work bore substantial fruit — lives were being saved. On June 22, 2010, the first Online for Life baby was rescued from abortion in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A mother seeking an abortion appointment was reached by Online for Life, found abortion alternatives, and chose life for her child.
In 2012, Online for Life started a call center to better help connect desperate mothers with pregnancy resources. From there, the ministry continued to grow, with only about 20% of what the organization actually does being online. So in April of this year the organization decided it was time for a name change, and re-branded as the Human Coalition. With the addition of Atlanta, Human Coalition now owns and operates seven women’s care clinics across the country, as previously mentioned, and partners with 21 of the most well-regarded, effective pregnancy resource centers around the country to ensure that any pregnant woman who calls their contact center can be connected with resources local to her.
Human Coalition also seeks to utilize ground breaking research and technology through the use of their prayer app. The prayer app is the first of its kind in the pro-life movement. It allows individual pro-life advocates and church teams to pray for women considering abortion in real time. Bryan Fisher told Live Action News in a statement that “this is the beauty of Human Coalition’s approach: we identify abortion-determined women in real time and activate an all-encompassing support system which immediately inundates her with prayer, phone support, local resources — in short, a guarantee that she will not be abandoned in her moment of greatest need.”
As of today, Human Coalition has saved 5,390 babies from abortion and has partnered with 1,160,145 individuals.
