Several years ago, Pro-Life Waco began protesting Bank of America after it was discovered that Planned Parenthood was included in the company’s employee matching program, with the Guttmacher Institute — Planned Parenthood’s former research arm — included as well. But this past week, new information came to light, thanks to 2nd Vote and the Free Enterprise Project, which discovered that Bank of America hasn’t just been matching employee donations; it has been funding the abortion corporation directly.
2nd Vote found archived pages from Planned Parenthood fundraising events in New York City, where Bank of America was listed as a corporate sponsor. The event, which took place in May of 2017, was described as a “once-in-a-lifetime gala to benefit Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of New York City.” However, Bank of America has denied that it gives direct grants, with 2nd Vote citing a letter to a customer claiming, “Bank of America does not make any direct grants to Planned Parenthood. As you may know, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation has a Matching Gifts program which matches our employees’ charitable contributions to government recognized 501(c)3 organizations.”
But sponsorship of the 2017 gala was not a once-in-a-lifetime event for Bank of America, it seems; in 2018, the company was a “bronze” sponsor for the abortion corporation’s “Spring Into Action” gala.

“Bank of America has portrayed to customers and investors that its financial support for Planned Parenthood is limited to matched gifts through its charitable foundation,” 2ndVote Executive Director Robert Kuykendall said in a statement. “However, our research has uncovered Bank of America sponsorships of posh fundraising galas in New York benefitting Planned Parenthood’s abortion business.
“It appears Bank of America has been content to pass the buck and blame employees, rather admit the company directly helps advance Planned Parenthood’s abortion agenda,” he continued, adding that 2nd Vote is calling for Bank of America to end all corporate funding of Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in the United States, and has been found to be willing to cover up the sexual abuse of children by aiding abusers, committing abortions with no questions asked and then sending the victims back into danger without notifying police. It’s unconscionable that one of the country’s largest financial corporations, which millions upon millions of Americans rely on, would be willing to give money to an organization like Planned Parenthood.
