Billionaire George Soros, 92, announced that he is handing over control of his multi-billion-dollar empire to his 37-year-old son Alex — who warned that he’s even “more political” than his father.
In a joint interview with the Wall Street Journal, the duo announced the news. Alex Soros said he plans to use the family’s billions to promote left-leaning causes, singling out abortion specifically. “I’m more political,” he said.
The family’s non-profit, Open Society Foundations (OSF), elected Alex as its chairman in December, and he is also now on the investment committee overseeing Soros Fund Management, the firm managing money for both OSF and the Soros family. A Soros spokesperson told the Wall Street Journal that most of the $25 billion the firm handles will be directed towards OSF in the future.
Axios further noted that Alex Soros seems to be less interested in hedge fund trading as his father has been, but is instead more interested in promoting political causes. In his Wall Street Journal interview, Alex noted he is particularly passionate about voting… and abortion.
Though Alex Soros may be even more radical than his father, George Soros has been a hardcore supporter of abortion in his own right. OSF has been a longtime donor to the abortion industry, giving millions of dollars in grants to NARAL, and tens of millions to Planned Parenthood. OSF has also given money to groups like the Center for Reproductive Rights, Medical Students for Choice, the Abortion Access Project, and more.
Soros also personally invested in the abortion pill regimen, giving money to Danco Laboratories and its non-profit partner, the Population Council, to have mifepristone developed. The Population Council is a eugenics-based organization, and was instrumental in bringing chemical abortions to the United States. Soros further gave money to the University of California (UC) to conduct clinical trials for chemical abortions.
Another group funded by OSF is the Tech Transparency Project (TTP), which recently went on the attack against pregnancy resource centers (PRCs), calling them “fake abortion clinics” which “target” low-income women. Additionally, Soros gave $246 million to 100 partners of the pro-abortion Women’s March, and he has even worked to promote abortion in other countries.
George Soros was already a pro-abortion extremist; if his son is even more radical, then with billions of dollars at his disposal, his money is likely to end even more innocent lives.
