A woman was injured last week at Planned Parenthood’s Manhattan facility, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Less than a month ago, another woman was injured there.
Eyewitnesses told Operation Rescue the young African-American woman was curled up into a ball on the gurney and appeared to be in severe pain. The witness said the injured woman was ignored by Planned Parenthood staffers, who were seemingly too busy to notice a patient in pain.
“The [Planned Parenthood] personnel were on the sidewalks pumping their fists and shouting victory, completely ignoring the ambulance gurney as it was wheeled by them,” the witness said. The patient was taken away in an ambulance, without lights or sirens until they were about a block away from the abortion facility.
“It’s ironic that this injured woman would be wheeled past the Planned Parenthood that workers were cheering and fist-pumping for the pro-abortion team of Biden and Harris,” Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said in a statement. “What they were really cheering for was more dead babies and more injured and suffering women.”

Planned Parenthood’s Manhattan Health Center is now believed to have injured at least 37 patients, with at least four known emergencies this year. In 2019, ambulances were spotted there by pro-lifers 13 times, and five women were injured in seven weeks during the spring. Additionally, witness have spotted women leaving the facility vomiting or having difficulty walking.
There are safety concerns with the building itself as well, which houses an elevator too small for paramedics to transport a patient on a gurney. This can cause time delays time in an emergency as paramedics struggle to quickly get the patient into the ambulance. This is why pro-lifers advocate for common-sense laws dictating hallway width and elevator sizes, but these laws are opposed by abortion chains like Planned Parenthood.
Earlier this year, the Manhattan Planned Parenthood facility changed its name to remove the name of Planned Parenthood’s eugenicist founder, Margaret Sanger, from the building. In a statement, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York acknowledged Sanger’s racist history. Yet despite disavowing Sanger’s eugenic views, Planned Parenthood still operates on the notion that some lives are disposable, and some are more valuable than others.
