Each year, Planned Parenthood receives millions of dollars from the federal government, mainly through avenues like Medicaid and Title X. Currently, the abortion corporation takes in close to $700 million annually, despite countless women crying out about the extreme trauma they have suffered at the hands of Planned Parenthood staff.
Dana’s Planned Parenthood trauma
In 2005, Dana was going through a divorce when she reconnected with an old friend who was struggling with addiction. After that relationship turned sexual, she learned she was pregnant. Though she wasn’t excited, she was okay with being pregnant — but then she began to become very sick. That’s when she learned she was having triplets.
After a few months of pregnancy, someone called Dana to inform her that her triplets’ father was doing IV drugs. This revelation caused her world to spiral. She began to be worried her children would be born drug-addicted, with disabilities, or that they would die. She feared she wouldn’t be able to properly care for babies with disabilities.
The irrational panic and fear were so overwhelming that Dana decided to have an abortion. She called Planned Parenthood, which scheduled her abortion the very next day. Dana was four and a half months — about 18 weeks — pregnant.
“I remember that day when I walked in there. I remember what I was wearing. I remember how I was shaking and I was crying,” Dana told Live Action News. “I go back to that time and think maybe if they had turned me away and said this doesn’t look like something you want to do. If they had told me to think about it a little longer. Why didn’t they just tell me to go home? I would have never gone back. But they didn’t.”
After the two-hour D&E dismemberment abortion was done, Dana was sent home, but her ordeal wasn’t over. A week later, she was still bleeding and she returned to Planned Parenthood where she learned that the abortion was not complete. She was forced to undergo a second abortion procedure.
“I survived what a lot of women don’t survive,” she said. “I still had baby parts in my body. So I had two abortions. I didn’t have one. Because their little baby parts were still left inside me. And that makes you feel like that last piece of them is trying to hold on to you.”
Dana eventually realized that Planned Parenthood should not have carried out the abortion while she was in clear emotional distress, but the staff did not seem to care.
Unfortunately, Dana is not the only woman to suffer such trauma at the hands of Planned Parenthood. Marie Mayela was also left traumatized by the abortion giant.
Maria’s traumatic Planned Parenthood story
Maria Mayela had gone to Planned Parenthood for birth control, but after beginning to take it, she became very ill. She returned to Planned Parenthood where she learned she was pregnant.
“I was so scared and knew my parents would be hurt. I would have to own up to the lifestyle I had been living,” she said. The Planned Parenthood staff told her there was an ‘easy’ solution: abortion. She was hesitant but she scheduled that abortion after a staff member became frustrated with her questions.
However, Maria Mayela opted not to show up for the abortion appointment. But she hadn’t escaped the staff, who called her to reschedule — and she complied.
She arrived at that appointment and was sedated for the abortion. She remembers “blanking out.”
“It felt as if I was bound to a chair sitting in a dark room. The mother in me kicked in and I screamed for them to stop but didn’t know if they could hear me,” she said. “I felt helpless to keep my baby from being torn apart inside of me. I was experiencing the horror of abortion.”
She was sent home afterward, bleeding heavily, and was eventually taken to an ER. Doctors there discovered an infection and she was given antibiotics.
“Later, I started cramping and went into the bathroom,” she said. “That’s when I saw the remains of my baby come rushing out. All I could do was flush the toilet.”
Just as with Dana, Planned Parenthood did not consider what Maria Mayela truly wanted and put her through an abortion that it then failed to complete. A search of Google reviews of Planned Parenthood facilities across the country shows that these two women are not the only ones who have suffered at Planned Parenthood affiliates.
Additional stories of Planned Parenthood trauma
Naomi shared on Google that her abortion at a Planned Parenthood in Kansas was “the most traumatic medical experience” she ever had. The next day she had “extreme chills and extreme pain” and a fever. She went to the ER where she had to undergo a D&C for an incomplete abortion. That’s when she saw her baby’s mangled body.
Another woman, Jay Reed, said that she went to Planned Parenthood for an abortion that landed her in the ER as well.
“Once the abortion started I started to notice something didn’t feel right the further they kept going. I said something. She kept going,” she wrote. “It wasn’t until I screamed and started crying for them to notice and all the doctor told the nurse to do was to inject me with more medication while they continued to do it… After 4 days I notice[d] huge blood clotting and excessive pain. Felt like I was giving birth. Went to the emergency room to find out that they did not do things proper and I will now undergo another surgery.”
Jay said that she went to a Planned Parenthood in Long Island for treatment for an ectopic pregnancy but that it was not properly carried out.
“Incompetent and rude doctors,” she wrote. “Went in for a removal of ectopic pregnancy and according to my other doctor they pushed the embryo up[,] gave up[,] and gave me an [IUD] I didn’t ask for that is now infected and told me they didn’t do the procedure. The whole building and staff is a joke and can cause serious problems…”

A woman named “Whiisp” went to a Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin and ultimately suffered “excruciating painful cramps” and “was taken to the hospital through ambulance and admitted because [she] was hemorrhaging internally.” She had suffered an incomplete abortion and the IUD the staff inserted was causing her extreme pain.
Sasha went to a Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania. She wrote on Google, “DO NOT GO FOR SURGICAL ABORTION! Doctor was unprofessional and he gave me an INCOMPLETE ABORTION! Remnants of fetus and placenta still inside me 6 days post-operation! Bleeding profusely and grapefruit sized blood clots!”
Sally shared that the Planned Parenthood in the Bronx perforated her cervix and another woman shared that her friend woke up “in a pool of blood” after her abortion at a Planned Parenthood in Utah. A woman shared that she was held down by four nurses at a Planned Parenthood in Connecticut while she “screamed and squirmed” during an abortion. “I still suffer PTSD to this day,” she wrote.
Across the country, women are sharing stories of negligent treatment at Planned Parenthood affiliates. Yet, the government continues to give the abortion giant millions of taxpayer dollars which it consistently proves it is unworthy of receiving.
