Democratic National Convention kicks off with free abortions, vasectomies, and giant IUDs

Planned Parenthood of Great Rivers announced last week that it will be giving away the abortion pill and vasectomies for free during the first two days of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), cementing the strong relationship forged between the political party and America’s number one abortion business. The DNC is taking place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois — a state that is considered an abortion haven.

Great Rivers Planned Parenthood includes parts of Missouri and Illinois and announced the plan via social media (Instagram, X, and LinkedIn) on Wednesday, writing, “Chicago, we’re headed your way to provide FREE vasectomies and abortions!” Emergency contraception was also advertised as free from August 19-20. Included in the message was a link to “Reserve your spot.” Reportedly, all vasectomy and abortion pill appointments were claimed before the end of the day on Saturday; there is now a waitlist for appointments for people to either kill their preborn babies or end their fertility permanently.

DNC attendees who have scheduled an appointment will be given the abortion pill or a vasectomy in a Planned Parenthood mobile facility parked near the DNC, according to The New York Times (NYT). But the free abortion pills and vasectomies will also be available at the Planned Parenthood brick and mortar building near the DNC. However, it should be noted that Planned Parenthood does not offer its services for “free,” so the deaths and sterilizations are no doubt funded in some other way to make them free to the recipients.

“[I]t… underscores the way this convention, more than any other, is going to be a head-on display of a new, unbridled abortion politics,” wrote Jess Bidgood for NYT.

Indeed, opening a political convention by actually killing preborn children (rather than simply celebrating the ability to kill them) is certainly a “new” development in American politics.

Promoting abortion has been a priority of the Biden-Harris administration, but the heavy promotion of the killing of preborn children as “freedom” has grown in the two years since Roe v. Wade was overturned, and the ability to decide abortion law was returned to the states as it was prior to Roe. The Biden-Harris administration has stated that a federal pro-abortion law (similar to or even broader than Roe) overruling state laws on abortion is their priority.

In the mobile Planned Parenthood clinic in Chicago will be Dr. Colleen McNicholas, the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, according to NYT. McNicholas’ abortion facility in St. Louis, Missouri, just across the Illinois border, is considered to be one of the most dangerous in the country. Planned Parenthood of Great Rivers, formerly known as Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, has injured numerous women. A Senate investigation also found multiple instances of women having to return to the facility due to incomplete abortions — with at least one having to return five times for a single abortion procedure to be properly completed. Women were also specifically instructed by staff not to call 911 if they experienced abortion-related complications once they were at home.

The facility also been cited for at least 39 classes of violations, involving over 200 incidents, more than 100 of which were related to failure to provide a safe and sanitary environment. The Senate report of the abortion facility noted that the “internal files reveal a shocking callousness toward vulnerable young women who seek their services” and accused Planned Parenthood of not caring about its patients. This was on the watch of McNicholas, the abortionist who will be in the mobile clinic completing or overseeing vasectomies and the distribution of the abortion pill (which research has found to be four times more dangerous than a first trimester surgical abortion).

McNicholas also commits abortions at the Planned Parenthood mega-facility in Fairview Heights, Illinois, less than a 20-minute drive from the St. Louis facility. The abortionist had announced plans in March of this year for the mobile abortion RV — a sort of counterfeit to the lifesaving mobile ultrasound/medical units initiated by some pro-life pregnancy resource centers.

McNicholas is also the abortionist who told the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reforms in 2020 that “viability” is essentially a meaningless term to the abortion industry. “So, viability is a complicated medical construct,” McNicholas said. “There is no particular gestational age. There are some pregnancies in which a fetus will never be viable. There are a number of different factors that we think about when we’re considering if a pregnancy is or isn’t viable.”

In addition to the free abortions, emergency contraception, and vasectomies from Planned Parenthood, the group Americans for Contraception will display an 18-foot-tall inflatable intrauterine device (IUD) named Freeda Womb. IUDs are a form of long-lasting birth control that has, for some women, caused great harm. One woman’s IUD nearly killed her and she lost her ovaries and uterus and had to have toes amputated. Another was left with a hole in her uterus and a kidney infection and another reported her IUD made her depressed and angry.

According to NYT, there will also be a “Hotties for Harris” party hosted by pro-abortion activists.

And that’s just outside the main convention. Abortion advocates have high expectations that inside, women who have been exploiting their tragic pregnancy complication stories to promote the elective and medically unnecessary killing of preborn children will be present at the DNC.

“There are going to be people traveling to Chicago from all over the country,” said McNicholas, “and I think we should be doing what we can as health care providers to show what the impact of good policy and bad policy is.”

It appears that giving women drugs and sending them off alone to carry out potentially traumatizing and excruciating DIY abortions without obtaining their solid medical histories is ‘good policy’ to McNicholas. But for many women, some of whom saw the bodies of their aborted children and some who didn’t, it was the worst and most horrific experience of their lives.

The DOJ put a pro-life grandmother in jail for protesting the killing of preborn children. Please take 30-seconds to TELL CONGRESS: STOP THE DOJ FROM TARGETING PRO-LIFE AMERICANS.
