(Slow to Write) The Agenda Project released a repulsive ad in 2015, and it recently resurfaced online. The ad opens with a lullaby and features a baby girl staring into the camera. Then the words, “She deserves to be loved” flash across a black screen. The video reverts back to the giggling baby for a few seconds, then the words, “she deserves to be wanted” flash over a black screen. The video returns to the happy baby girl for a final time, before the words, “she deserves to be a choice” flash across the black screen.
The ad ends with, “#StandWithPP” or “Stand With Planned Parenthood” across a black screen.
Planned Parenthood wants you to stand with them. They want you to commit to them. They want you to help their organization survive. They want you to support them. They want you to do for them what they don’t want you to do for babies.
Planned Parenthood believes babies should be ripped apart limb-by-limb if they are not loved by their parents. They believe pre-born babies do not deserve to keep their heartbeat if they are not wanted by their parents. Planned Parenthood believes babies should suffer a gruesome and grotesque deaths in the womb, if they are a result of an unplanned pregnancy.

I was an unwanted child. My father didn’t want me. He didn’t love me. He ran away to an entirely different country to make it known that I wasn’t his choice. My life killed my parents marriage. My mom suffered poverty in a third-world country because of me. I wasn’t my parents’ choice. But my mom loved and wanted me, anyway. If Planned Parenthood had any say in the matter, I wouldn’t be alive today.
Every single baby is a choice. They may not be their parents choice, they may not be planned by their parents — but they are planned by God. They are God’s choice. Every single one. Every single baby is loved by God. Every baby is wanted by God. And we should love and want them too.
This Christmas, we will celebrate a glorious baby. We will celebrate a baby that wasn’t planned by his parents. We will celebrate a baby that was initially unloved and unwanted by his step-father. This Christmas, we will celebrate an unplanned pregnancy for Mary and Joseph. Yet we will celebrate a planned pregnancy by God.
Mary was betrothed to Joseph when she conceived Jesus by the Holy Spirit. She was just a young girl when she became pregnant. She was probably shamed and scorned for her unplanned pregnancy. She could have been punished to death by law for seemingly betraying her vows to Joseph. Planned Parenthood advertises itself to young, vulnerable women like Mary. The ad is for women like Mary. What would Planned Parenthood have said to Mary and Joseph?
Remember the lullaby from the ad? The lullaby is Hush, Little Baby. Are you familiar with the lullaby’s words? The lyrics are:
Hush, little Baby, don’t say a word, Mama’s gonna buy you a Mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird don’t sing, Mama’s gonna buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama’s gonna buy you a looking glass.
And if that looking glass gets broke, Mama’s gonna buy you a billy goat.
And if that billy goat won’t pull, Mama’s gonna buy you a cart and a bull.
And if that cart and bull turn over, Mama’s gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
And if that dog named Rover won’t bark, Mama’s gonna buy you a horse and a cart.
And if that horse and cart fall down, You’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town.
The lullaby is about a mother trying to put her baby to sleep. At the end of the lullaby, she sings that even if the baby fails to sleep after she’s exhausted all her efforts—still, she will want her baby. Still, she will choose her baby. Still, she will love her baby. No matter what, the baby will still be the sweetest little baby in town to the mother.
Every baby is a sweet little baby, every baby deserves to be wanted, every baby deserves to be loved—in the womb or outside the womb. And though many of us refuse to admit this, we know it’s true. And that’s probably why Planned Parenthood sang a pro-life song in a pro-abortion ad.
