The spring campaign of 40 Days for Life ends this Sunday, April 1. This is your last opportunity to participate in the spring vigil! Get yourself and everyone you can to the nearest 40 Days for Life vigil and spread the word.
As of this writing, the report is that 555 babies have been saved – and those are just ones that we know about. Sidewalk counselors often experience people coming to tell them months – even years – later that it was because of them that they chose life for their baby; some saved lives we may never even hear about. It may not seem like much compared to the great number of babies that are still killed every day, but 555 babies are a lot of people. Every life is infinitely precious – even if we saw only one save, all the effort that went into the campaign would be worth giving for just that one sacred human life.
As it turns out, 40 Days for Life has touched thousands of lives in 258 cities throughout the United States and even in Canada, Australia, England, Ireland, and Spain. It has saved the lives of 555 people; it has impacted mothers, fathers, families, and friends of the parents, abortion workers, and all the people who have witnessed the vigils and passed them by. It has inspired pro-lifers to action and brought in many new warriors to the fight.
This is the concrete front line of the abortion war – at the last line of defense for the unborn. Many of us aren’t going to get noticed for our efforts, for the time we’ve spent down on sidewalks praying and fasting and counseling, for all of our hidden sacrifices that we may never see the results of. But rest assured that God sees your efforts – no effort is wasted!
Now is the time to take courage and rouse yourself and make 40 Days for Life end with a bang! Let the world know about the evil of abortion and the victories of our side! Mention it at work or at school; tell your friends and acquaintances about our successes; post it on your Facebook pages and everywhere you have a presence on the internet! Get down to the abortion clinics and stand for life! Increase your prayers and your sacrifices! Now is the time to get the word out! Let’s go all out in these last few days to save as many lives as we can! Stand with 40 Days for Life!
