Former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson has put together a book called The Walls Are Talking: Former Abortion Clinic Workers Tell Their Stories which has testimonies from former abortion workers. These stories shed light on the grisly business of abortion and reveal what goes on behind the closed doors of abortion facilities.
Johnson talks about how many abortion facility workers are not the selfless champions of women that pro-choicers make them out to be. According to her, clinic workers sometimes marginalize and ridicule their patients:
Although abortion advocates are constantly spouting slogans declaring their unwavering love and devotion to women, in reality, it is commonplace for some clinic workers to ignore, marginalize, blame, and ridicule the women who trust them — especially those who become confrontational when dissatisfied with services rendered by the clinic.
There are examples of clinic workers insulting and making fun of patients in Johnson’s book. When things in the abortion facility do not go smoothly, abortion patients often take the brunt of abortion workers’ frustration.
