A pregnancy resource center in Bowling Green, Ohio, was vandalized Saturday morning. The radical pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge has claimed responsibility for the attack against HerChoice, also known as the Bowling Green Pregnancy Center (BGPC).
According to a press release issued by Ohio Right to Life, the building was spray-painted with messages reading “Liars, fake clinic, fund abortion, abort God,” and “Jane’s Revenge.” Jane’s Revenge is an extremist group that has been responsible for many attacks against pro-life offices and pregnancy resource centers since a Supreme Court leak signaled the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022. See a list of violence here.
BGPC, like many pregnancy resource centers, offers supplies to parents in need, including free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI testing, parenting classes, baby food, clothing, diapers and wipes, furniture, and more.
“This vile attack is part of a nationwide movement to intimidate, threaten, and terrorize pregnancy centers,” Rochelle Sikora, the executive director of HerChoice, told Fox News Digital. “These tactics are not only anti-American, they are based on misconceptions, misinformation, and outright lies.”
“Pregnancy centers offer free medical services, educational resources, material assistance, and support to mothers, fathers, and families in need, especially those facing unexpected pregnancies,” she continued. “Through the network of pregnancy centers across Ohio, families have access to over $15.1 million worth of services and materials.”
Within hours of the attack’s discovery, local college students and members of the Knights of Columbus joined together to clean up the mess.
“A huge thank you should be given to the local Knights of Columbus council and the college students who came out to help the cleanup process immediately upon seeing the vandalism. They represent the Bowling Green community at its finest,” said Ohio Right to Life’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Range.
“In the broader context, though, there have been well over 100 attacks against pro-life pregnancy centers and pro-life organizations since last year,” continued Range. “Everyone in this state and nation, no matter their political affiliation or stance on abortion, should support centers and organizations that help mothers. I pray local officials, statewide elected members, and national leaders will all rise to the moment and speak out against these attacks to put an end to these senseless attacks once and for all.”
Sikora noted that the vandalism has only strengthened her organization’s resolve to serve those in need. “For those looking to help us respond to this vandalism with love and compassion, we invite you to join our mission to love, serve, and equip anyone facing a pregnancy decision with Christ-centered resources and support that empower them to pursue life for themselves and their unborn child,” she said.
