Actress Laura Dern has a closet sale for Planned Parenthood to ‘support reproductive freedom’

Laura Dern, the acclaimed actress known for her roles in films like “Jurassic Park” and “Marriage Story,” recently announced that she has teamed up with Vestiaire Collective for a closet sale specifically designed to funnel money to Planned Parenthood.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the online company recently discussed Dern’s sale: “A longtime champion of circular fashion and of Planned Parenthood, Dern has curated pieces from her wardrobe for this special sale, which she hopes will bring attention to reducing the stigma around sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion.”

As noted on social media and the company’s website, Vestiaire has been offering “pre-LOVED” designer attire for 15 years. The company offers second-hand, premium, and luxury pieces at reduced prices.

Laura Dern’s closet sale, which features a selection of items from brands like Gucci, Stella McCartney, and Oscar de la Renta, aims to raise funds to directly benefit Planned Parenthood, the largest single abortion provider in the United States.

Items in the closet sale that have already sold include a Stella McCartney Jersey Tee, Derek Lam Dresses, Missoni Tank Tops, Roger Vivier Heels in animal print and chic, and a red Calvin Klein Double-Breasted Blazer. Other pieces for sale included a Vampire’s Wife Glitter Maxi Dress for $918, and a pair of Sacai Straight Pants for $183.75.

Dern announced the closet sale on Monday by writing on Instagram, “To help support reproductive freedom, I’ve donated a few pieces from my closet to @vestiaireco to help raise money for @plannedparenthood. Vestiaire Collective is also donating to @plannedparenthood as well. Everyone deserves healthcare that’s free of shame, stigma, or judgment. #BansOffOurBodies.”

But “reproductive freedom,” as Live Action News previously noted, “denotes the freedom to reproduce… or not reproduce. Not to kill. Once fertilization has occurred, reproduction has already happened. Therefore, abortion cannot reasonably be considered ‘reproductive freedom’ or a ‘reproductive right.'”

Abortion is not a “reproductive” act at all —it is the intentional destruction of the result of that reproductive act: a human being. For this reason, it can also not reasonably be referred to as “healthcare,” since intentional killing is not an act of caring for the health of a human being. This does not look like “healthcare”:

Baby Angel was found in a medical waste bin. Experts believe he was possibly exsanguinated and dismembered alive.

And induced abortion is not the same as an early delivery, nor is it a treatment for miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. And as Live Action News has previously reported:

[I]nduced abortion is not the standard of care for pregnancy emergencies. Not PPROM, not preeclampsia, not placenta accreta, not placenta percreta, not placenta increta, not placenta previa, and so on (see more information at links provided). While some of these conditions may warrant early delivery of the baby, this is not remotely the same as intentionally killing the preborn child. Nowhere is induced abortion listed as a treatment for any of these conditions.

Therefore, if induced abortion is not the standard of care for pregnancy complications or conditions, then why wouldn’t a medical provider provide whatever is the standard of care for such conditions?

Here are the most common types of induced abortion used today, which intentionally destroy human beings:

It’s unclear if Vestiaire Collective is actively donating to Planned Parenthood outside of Dern’s sale.

While Laura Dern’s efforts to support a cause she feels strongly about may be well-intentioned, it’s crucial to consider the broader implications of such support. For those who believe in the sanctity of life from fertilization, it is essential to be aware of and support organizations that uphold these values. By doing so, we can ensure that both women and their preborn children receive the care and respect they deserve.

The DOJ put a pro-life grandmother in jail for protesting the killing of preborn children. Please take 30-seconds to TELL CONGRESS: STOP THE DOJ FROM TARGETING PRO-LIFE AMERICANS.
