Live Action founder and president Lila Rose recently appeared on the “Whatever” dating podcast, where she discussed marriage, monogamy, and being pro-life — all with a group hostile to those views.
“Whatever” podcast host Brian Atlas hosts roundtable discussions about dating in the 21st century, and numerous people appeared alongside Rose, including Justin Waller, a man who refuses to be monogamous in relationships. Waller mentioned wanting to have a family, despite his refusal to remain faithful to one woman, and Rose asked him how he planned to achieve eventually having the family he dreams of with his current lifestyle. Waller joked that he already has a family, and might even have five of them, kicking off a heated discussion about the rights of children in families.
“Do you think that’s a good thing, to have multiple families?” she asked.
“I think it’s good if there’s one dad, and there’s not a bunch of step-parents involved, and the dad can be the hero, and the five families can live a 10x better life than they have otherwise,” Waller responded. “Yes ma’am, I do.”
“Well, you don’t think it would ultimately be an opportunity for jealousy or disharmony among the families?” Rose asked. Waller then shot back that women are “always jealous” — to which Rose replied, “I’m not jealous in my marriage.”

“I don’t care about your marriage; I’m talking about mine,” Waller snapped. “I don’t answer to you. That’s my answer. I’m gonna run my situation exactly how I want to. And generally, when I do that, that’s how I have the most happiness in my life.”
“And you would want that for your daughters?” Rose continued, with Waller stating that he lives his life “unapologetically” on his own terms.
“I’m not gonna simp for my daughters,” he said. The conversation then became more heated, as Rose said children do best when they know their parents are committed to each other.
“What are we talking about? I’m not hiding anything, I just told you,” he said. “It seems like you’re challenging because you have a problem with it. I simply don’t care.” Waller then explained that being monogamous was akin to holding his breath and trying to be someone he isn’t, before ultimately realizing that there was “never anything wrong with me at all,” and that he just needed to live his “truth.”
Rose later encouraged Waller, and people like him, to channel that energy into a healthier lifestyle.
“But you’re a man of self-control,” she explained. “You work out, you do business. You possess your own power and direct it the way you want to direct it.”
“That’s just not how I am,” he replied. “That’s not how I am.”
She replied, “You think that might be a limited mindset?”
At this point, Waller got angry, and began openly insulting Rose. “I think it’s none of your business, but I don’t want you to think I’m triggered by you; I’m not,” he said. “I saw somebody say that and I think that’s interesting. I think you’re annoying, but I’m not triggered. No, you are. You’re annoying, in like, this goody-two-shoes type way, and that’s fine. I’m going to live my life on my terms.”
Later in the conversation, the group discussed so-called “unwanted” babies and abortion. “There are 2,500 babies killed a day in this country, because they were ‘unwanted,'” Rose said. “Because people had sex, that weren’t ready to be parents with people they didn’t want to actually be with for the rest of their lives.”
The guest she was speaking with, a female pastor-turned-Only Fans performer, retorted that people use contraception, which fails, and they need to have options (meaning abortion) available.
“Why should children have to die because adults want to live their sexual desires?” Rose asked, with the guest replying that preborn children are “just cells” before they are born.
“You’re just cells,” Rose responded. “Right now. But you have a right to live, and the child has a right to live in the womb.”
At that point, Atlas asked if they wanted to continue the conversation; while Rose said she was happy to, the other guest repeatedly refused and said she was done.

Children, whether born or preborn, are human beings who deserve more than to live by the whims of adults. Whether it is protecting their right to life or their right to a stable home, children do not deserve to have their lives destroyed — either literally or metaphorically — based on nothing more than the whim of adults.
