Live Action President Lila Rose will be a featured speaker at two World Youth Day 2011 events in Madrid, Spain. World Youth Day is an annual event for youth worldwide to come together with Pope Benedict XVI in celebration of the Catholic Faith. If you or someone you know will be attending World Youth Day festivities this year, please take note of these two events and help Live Action to spread the word.
On August 17, Ms. Rose will speak at Viva Vida Pro-Life Youth Festival, a pro-life conference for youth worldwide that is sponsored by Youth Defence.
The Festival aims to build on the growing synergy and strength of youth-led pro-life groups, who are gaining new ground across Europe and the rest of the world. It will give a platform to more than a dozen such pro-life groups from Spain, Australia, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Ireland, the US, and other countries, and promises to be an exciting and positive celebration of Life aiming to encourage pro-life activism.
Traditionally, most pro-life organizations have focused on only one of three areas: education, legislation, or pastoral outreach. Youth Defence is a youth-led, global movement based in Ireland that is active in multiple areas of activism that are primarily educational in nature: Education, Demonstration, Campaigning, Communications, and Lobbying.

On August 19, Ms. Rose will speak at International Youth Coalition‘s mini-conference: The Role of Young Catholics in the Public Square.
The International Youth Coalition [IYC] represents youth who believe that we are created in the image and likeness and God, are intrinsically relational, and are called to live a life with purpose and meaning.

In the 1960s, youth protested for “sexual liberation” which included the so-called “right to abortion”. Today, youth are coming together to act as a remedy for the tragic failures of the so-called “Sexual revolution” which are still wreaking havoc on women, interpersonal relationships and the very lives of the unborn. Now, more than ever, youth are rising up to lead the way in the pro-life movement worldwide by speaking out for the dignity of each and every individual person created by God. These events at World Youth Day are an important part of this vital effort to restore respect for the dignity of every individual human person.
