10. Did this mom in a Biden campaign ad ‘need’ to deliberately kill her preborn baby? Does any mom?

The #9 Live Action News article of 2024, also published in January, pointed out the falsehoods in a Biden campaign ad featuring Dr. Austin Dennard, a Texas OB/GYN who claimed that carrying a preborn child with a “fatal condition” put her “life at risk.”

In truth, Dennard aborted her baby with anencephaly in another state because, otherwise, she said she would have been “[f]orced to watch him die, either in my womb, or in my arms.”

As Live Action News noted in the article:

According to CNN, Dennard also stated that she believes “everyone’s reason for needing an abortion is valid” and, in fact, knew her life was not at risk due to her child’s disability, despite her claim in the Biden campaign ad. “I was not critically ill,” she said. “I was not hemorrhaging, I was not septic.”

Tragically, Dennard never even humanized the second child she chose to abort, telling CNN, “I was pregnant with a lethal anomaly, and I did not believe that I would be able to receive an abortion in my state at that time for the sole purpose of my lethal anomaly” (emphasis added).

Dennard gave birth to another child after she aborted her child with anencephaly.

9. IN MEMORY: After a cancer diagnosis while pregnant, she fought for her life and her child’s

Jessica Hanna, cancer while pregnant

At 14 weeks pregnant, Jessica Hanna learned that she had Stage 4 terminal breast cancer. Jessica refused to abort her baby boy despite pressure to do so, and she and others surrounding her prayed for a miracle. Two months after giving birth to her son, she was declared cancer free. However, two years later, she was found to have Stage 4 terminal cancer once again. She fought it for another year until she passed away on April 6, 2024. Live Action News wrote about her death two days later.

As Live Action News noted, “In January of 2023, Jessica posted to her Instagram account, ‘In my life as I look back I praise God for the hard times because those were the times He called me closer to Him. Those were the times that I finally got up and stripped myself of the world, emptied myself of temporary things in order to fill my soul with the eternal.'”

Upon her passing, her husband wrote on her Instagram account, “At 8:02pm on Saturday April 6, my beautiful bride Jessica peacefully went to her eternal reward… she was very peaceful and surrounded by her loving family, she breathed her last. The cancer was just too aggressive. She suffered joyfully, and without fear in her last days.”

8. Pregnant woman dead after being shot by boyfriend, while baby girl is on life support

In November, Live Action News published an article on the tragic death of 19-year-old Taniyah Bell, who was eight months pregnant when she was shot in the head by her boyfriend, Kaiheem Williams, the father of the baby. He claims to have “blacked out” after getting “fried” with a friend while watching television.

Bell was found lying on the bed when police arrived.

Williams has been charged with first-degree murder. Bell’s baby, a girl, was put on life support; an affidavit stated that she has “minimal neurological brain activity.” Her current condition is unknown.

A GoFundMe account was set up to help Bell’s mother, a nurse, pay for her only daughter’s funeral arrangements.

As noted by Live Action News, “homicide is a leading cause of death for pregnant women, who are more likely to die by homicide than to die by any other cause, including all leading health-related causes of maternal death.”

7. Preemie in a coma after ER staff leaves her in amniotic sac during surprise delivery

Preemie: Heaven Grace

A Live Action News article published in November recounted the story of Texas mother Makayla Thomas, who went to the emergency room at 26 weeks pregnant in pain and with a previously diagnosed kidney infection. She didn’t realize then that she was in premature labor.

While at the ER, Thomas began bleeding and then felt the urge to push. She was stunned when her baby girl was born en caul, meaning still in the amniotic sac, which had not ruptured. Her baby rolled on to the floor, yet ER staff assumed the baby was dead and didn’t tend to her for several minutes, which left little Heaven Grace in a coma due to lack of oxygen.

Thomas said “I definitely do believe if they had started reviving her right away when they came in the room and saw, this could have been a lot different. I feel like they failed me.”

6. Senator grills FDA head: ‘You… allow women to put their lives at risk’ for ‘the pro-abortion agenda’

FDA Commissioner Robert Califf grilled about advanced provision of abortion pill May 2024

FDA Commissioner Robert Califf grilled about advanced provision of abortion pill (May 2024)

Live Action News reported in May that FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert Califf was grilled about the abortion pill when he testified in a Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee hearing.

Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) accused Califf and the FDA of abandoning women by removing the in-person requirement to obtain the abortion pill, which intentionally ends the lives of preborn human beings and is also known to be four times more dangerous for women than a first-trimester surgical abortion.

“The FDA is supposed to protect Americans from taking medications that could be harmful,” Sen. Hyde-Smith said. “However, you continue to look the other way and claim mifepristone is ‘safe,’ in part, based on the lack of reports of non-fatal adverse events, due to the FDA’s own relaxed reporting requirements, and continue to allow women to put their lives at risk in the name of the pro-abortion agenda.”

5. Hundreds attend funeral for baby found dead at recycling center

In September, Live Action News told the heartbreaking story of a funeral that was held for a “full term infant” who was found dead at a recycling facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in August.

Jessica Remme, founder of the Oaklyn Foundation, which arranged the funeral, named the baby Gabriel James. “Gabriel James is the name that spoke to me after many tears. Tears of sadness and tears of honor,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “Gabriel meaning God is my strength and James meaning one who follows Christ. I know this sweet boy is in the arms of Jesus and I pray for his parents who made this devastating decision.”

Approximately 200 people from the community attended the visitation for the baby boy, and about 180 attended the funeral the following day. The funeral was provided free of charge.

4. Mom flown from Idaho to Utah for pregnancy complications wakes to learn they dismembered her son

Nicole Miller was flown from Idaho to Utah, where a D&E ended her baby’s life

This summer, Idaho’s Defense of Life Act came under fire from the Biden administration, which claimed the state law was at odds with the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). EMTALA requires “stabilizing care” to be provided to patients who are experiencing medical emergencies. The Biden administration insisted that induced abortion should be included under “stabilizing care.”

As Live Action News noted, “The administration claims the Act puts women in danger if they cannot get ’emergency’ abortions, and the media has been quick to feature an Idaho doctor who claims that at least six pregnant women have been airlifted out of Idaho for emergency care because of the state’s pro-life law.”

Nicole Miller suffered a “serious placental abruption” as well as “preterm premature rupture of membranes [PPROM]” in Idaho, and a doctor at the hospital where she sought care refused to offer her the standard treatment (preterm delivery), insisting that she be airlifted to a hospital in Utah. Miller said neither “abortion” nor “termination” were mentioned to her before she was put on a plane and transferred.

When she awoke the next day, a nurse horrifyingly informed her that her baby boy, Maddox David, had been dismembered by way of a D&E abortion at 20 weeks. The standard of care, for both placental abruption and PPROM, if all other interventions fail, is early delivery — not intentional killing.

3. Congressional committee demands answers on Army briefing that labeled pro-lifers ‘terrorists’

Photo: Twitter

In July, Live Action News reported that a slide presentation given to 47 Army officers at Fort Liberty in North Carolina had labeled pro-lifers as terrorists. Photos posted online showed National Right to Life and Operation Rescue listed on one slide labeled “Terrorist Groups.” As reported:

Bullet points on the slide said being “anti-abortion” and “Pro Life,” as well as opposing “Row v Wade [sic]” were potential indications of terrorist ideations. Examples of pro-life advocacy were also listed on the slide, such as demonstrations, protests, life chains, “the truth display” (displaying photos of abortion victims), and more. Counseling at pregnancy centers and on sidewalks was listed, and the side even included pro-life license plates.

Members of Congress demanded answers to a number of questions, like how long the training materials had been in use.

It was believed that the slide deck had been in use for a number of months; however, further investigation revealed that the Department of Defense materials labeling pro-lifers as “terrorists” had shockingly been in use for at least seven years, with 9,000 soldiers trained using the materials.

2. Newborn twins considered youngest Hurricane Helene victims, dying with their mom as she held them

Live Action News’ #2 most-read article is the heartbreaking story of a mother who died trying to protect her children from harm.

Kobe Williams and her newborn twin sons, Khyzier and Khazmir, died together as Hurricane Helene caused a tree to crash through the roof of their home. Williams was 27 years old, and her mother was in the home when her daughter and two grandsons passed away.

“I started screaming, ‘Kobe! Answer me! Please answer me!’ It was so dark, and I couldn’t see anything except branches,” said Williams’ mother, Mary Jones.

Neighbors came quickly with flashlights to try and help, but they couldn’t locate Williams and her babies. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the babies with their mother. Williams’ mother asked the police if they were alive, and an officer told her “It’s bad, don’t go in there.” After that, Jones said, “I just lost it. I lost it.”

The twin boys were the youngest victims of Hurricane Helene. A family member said of Williams, “She was doing such a good job and was so proud to be their mom.”

May they rest in peace, and may God grant comfort and peace to their family, and to the families and friends of the hundreds who lost their lives due to the hurricane’s impact.

1. ‘Gilmore Girls’ star aborted baby in her 30s while married, because she never wanted kids

LOS ANGELES, CA – NOVEMBER 18: Actress Kelly Bishop attends the premiere of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” at Regency Bruin Theatre on November 18, 2016 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic)

In September, Live Action News reported on a confession made by 80-year-old “Gilmore Girls” actress Kelly Bishop, also known for her role in the film, “Dirty Dancing.” Our article on Bishop’s remarks has been our most-read of 2024.

In her book, “The Third Gilmore Girl,” Bishop stated that when she was in her 30s, she had an abortion because she found herself unexpectedly pregnant and had simply never wanted children. “It never occurred to me that I would accidentally get pregnant,” she said. “That never crossed my mind. But the fact that that was available and legal, it was just a relief.”

Bishop had her abortion in the early days of Roe v. Wade, and decided to tell her story when Roe was overturned, nearly 50 years later, “so that young women of today get a sense of where we were then.” She claims she feels no shame or wrongdoing.

However, “young women of today” have crystal clear ultrasound technology to reveal the truth about the human child in the womb — unlike what Bishop had access to decades ago.
