Live Action asked the public if Planned Parenthood should get taxpayer funding. They answered.

Would you keep paying for a service like cable or internet if the cost went up 245%, but the service decreased? That’s the question Live Action asked to passersby for its latest ‘man on the street’ video.

At the onset, nearly everyone asked was in agreement: it doesn’t make sense to pay for a service if the cost goes sky-high while the services received decrease. But some people began to bristle when the scenario was swapped, and instead of a cable provider, the entity in question was Planned Parenthood.

“I’m mostly pro-choice, so that kind of affects how I feel about that,” explained one man. “It’s a tough one.”

“It’s kind of apples and oranges,” said another man. “We’re talking about entertainment as opposed to talking about health care.”

What kind of ‘health care’ does the nation’s largest abortion business actually provide? Using research from Live Action News (which sources its data from Planned Parenthood’s public records), Live Action’s interviewer, Juan Garcia, breaks it down.

Garcia explains that since 2000, taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood has increased 245%, and it now receives nearly $700 million in taxpayer dollars. During that time, abortions doubled, while everything else decreased. Notably, prenatal care decreased 68%, contraceptive services decreased 40%, and cancer screenings and prevention services plummeted nearly 59%. Read Live Action News’ complete analysis here.

Garcia also notes that the name ‘Planned Parenthood’ is deceptive, because the organization does nothing to really help people plan to parent — instead, their business model is abortion-based. This deception was illustrated when Garcia spoke with another man on the street, who posited that funding shouldn’t be cut from the organization because money should be spent to help bolster the declining birth rates.

“The name is misleading,” Garcia pointed out. “It’s not really about planning.”

“Oh, no, I don’t support that,” the man said.

Planned Parenthood’s history gets even more nefarious because it has continually failed to comply with mandatory reporting laws regarding child sexual abuse. The organization also has a history of other violations, including abuses, scandals, racism, fraud, privacy violations, and much more.

“So,” Garcia asks, “What can be done?”

The answer may lie in the newly-created Department of Government Efficiency, (DOGE), headed by Elon Musk. Tasked with the job of curtailing excess and needless spending, DOGE could — and should — set its sights on the $700 million taxpayer funding Planned Parenthood receives.

The majority of people Garcia later interviewed on the street agreed that DOGE could make a difference in the amount of taxpayer dollars the abortion corporation receives.

“I think the government is really bloated, and it needs to be reduced,” said a woman.

Garcia sums it up at the end of the video.

“People shouldn’t be forced to pay for abortions and support organizations that fail to abide by mandatory reporting laws regarding child sexual abuse,” he said. “Our federal dollars should not fund Planned Parenthood.”
