I’ve been a writer for Live Action News for almost two years. Before I wrote for Live Action News I was familiar with Lila Rose and the work of her organization. I watched the eye opening video Live Action made exposing racism in Planned Parenthood. I remember how I felt hearing an actor ask a Planned Parenthood worker if he could donate funds specifically towards the abortion of a black baby. The actor said ‘the less black kids the better’ and mentioned that he was against affirmative action and didn’t want his child to grow up with more competition then needed.
His words were completely appalling and totally over the top so I assumed the woman on the other end of the phone would have said something. Instead she was strangely giddy, mentioning how ‘exciting’ it was to get a donation like this for the first time. To be quite frank, it just made me ill.
That sick, queasy feeling along with thoughts like ‘I can’t believe I’m really watching this’ and ‘How can this even be legal’ hit me again today. I watched a video release called, “Lies, Corruption, and Scandal: 6 Years of Exposing Planned Parenthood‘. Along with the clips that expose racism, there are clips from a number of Live Action sting operations. One clip shows Planned Parenthood workers breaking the law by not reporting under age girls seeking abortions without parental consent and another clip shows a worker covering up sex slavery. You will literally watch this video with your mouth wide open.
The video is just 6 minutes long but in that short time it covers everything from the lies Planned Parenthood’s president Cecile Richards spouts to the death of Tonya Reaves because of Planned Parenthood’s negligence. Watching it all the way through made me angry over the many injustices this organization commits against women and families. I’m sure it will bring up a range of emotions in any one who watches it. My only advice would be to let the anger, sorrow and pain push you into taking action. Let your voice be heard by sharing this video and singing Live Actions petition to defund Planned Parenthood.
