So you’ve got an ingrown toenail, respiratory issues, or you think you caught an STD–where do you go? If money’s a problem, then I’ve got a suggestion.

Across the country, over thirteen thousand federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and community health centers (CHCs) provide care to those with limited means.

Not sure where to find one? Some pro-life groups have created a website showing the health centers closest to you. And if you think you might be expecting, the site can hook you up with pregnancy related resources as well.

But pro-life organizations won’t just help you find care–they’re also fighting to expand it. Specifically, they’re asking Congress to divert half a billion dollars in funding from Planned Parenthood (America’s largest abortion chain) to FQHC and CHCs instead.

FQHCs and CHCs are far more accessible than Planned Parenthood, and the services they offer are more comprehensive, too. Whereas FQHCs performed over five hundred thousand mammograms last year, Planned Parenthood did zero.

Granted, there are some services they don’t provide. For example, they don’t provide child rapists with cover-up abortions; that’s probably why Timothy Smith took his thirteen year-old stepdaughter to Planned Parenthood instead.

Planned Parenthood staff felt that “being thirteen and pregnant alone is not a red flag,” thus allowing Smith able to keep the abuse hidden and ongoing. Fellow abusers Gary Cross, Luis Gonzalez-Jose, John Blanks, Jr., Adam Gault, Joseph Coles, Kevon Walker, Edgar Ramirez, and Grey David Woods got help from Planned Parenthood too.

That’s not all. In some countries, a cultural preference for sons has led to gendercide. While FQHCs and CHCs don’t offer to abort baby girls, undercover footage from Live Action proves that Planned Parenthood is more accommodating.

And I have yet to see a legislative hearing in which FQHC nurses compared their workplace to a “meat market” that exposed patients to bloody tables and unsterilized instruments.

If you think funding FQHCs and CHCs instead of Planned Parenthood is a smart idea, tell Congress by signing Live Action’s petition; it’s available here, along with more proof of the abortion giant’s wrongdoing. Because the fact is, there’s plenty of things tax dollars can help with. Hiding rape, aborting girls, and exposing people to unsafe conditions shouldn’t be among them.
