LA high school and Planned Parenthood – working together

We now have Planned Parenthood running a clinic out of a high school.

CBS Los Angeles reported last week that Roosevelt High School (a member of the Los Angeles Unified School District) and Planned Parenthood are working together with the goal of reducing unplanned pregnancies among students who attend the bigh school. This goal will be accomplished through the distribution of birth control, pregnancy testing, and, of course, offering advice to teens who may find themselves pregnant and looking for direction.

The area around the school was described as “heavily Latino and low-income,” and CBS Los Angeles stated that while the general trend in Los Angeles and California is a decreased birth rate among teens, those statistics do not hold true for the area around Roosevelt High School.

The American Center for Law and Justice addressed the geographical choice for the location of this clinic:

Relatively overlooked, however, in the abortion debate is Planned Parenthood’s extreme focus on the most vulnerable members of our society – young, poor, minority girls.  In any other context, such a focus would be a national scandal, with the mainstream media publishing story after story excoriating Planned Parenthood for racism and sexism.  But this is abortion – the cornerstone of the sexual revolution – and it is sacred to the secular left, certainly more sacred than their alleged commitment to ending racism.

Laura Ingraham hosted Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina in a short interview on this matter. According to Senator DeMint:

It encourages a type of behavior that hurts our children and hurts their chances, long-term, in their lives…. It’s a referral service to more abortion — which, we know the psychological damage that does to women. There’s no question about that. Our government is moving things in the wrong direction, and we have to fight back.

In that interview, Laura Ingraham also mentioned that the money for this clinic will come from the government sponsored Medicaid program.

Senator DeMint is correct. We must fight back and address the fact that Planned Parenthood is now running a clinic out of a high school. Girls needing direction and support now are going to have easy access to the lies of Planned Parenthood. As Senator DeMint stated, “California won’t allow Marines to recruit in schools, but they’ll allow this kind of thing. It’s dangerous because it tells children that promiscuous, dangerous sex is supported by their government and their political authorities.”
