Pharmaceutical company Linepharma International said it plans to seek approval for Japan’s first abortion pill next month, according to The Japan Times.
Linepharma received its pharmaceutical license in Japan in July and ran trials on the use of two drugs — mifepristone and misoprostol — to kill preborn children early in pregnancy. These trials were deemed “successful” in that they met their goal, which was to end pregnancies by ending the lives of human beings in utero. Linepharma believes the abortion pill regimen, which uses the same drugs as the abortion pill regimen in the United States, will be approved in Japan within a year.
Abortion is legal in Japan until 22 weeks, according to Japan Truly, through surgical abortion only. After 22 weeks, abortion is permissible if the mother’s life is considered to be under threat. However, intentionally killing a preborn child is never medically necessary. The consent of the baby’s father is required for a woman to have an abortion unless proof can be given that the father is missing or deceased or the pregnancy was the result of rape. However, according to Japan Truly, the abortion facility never actually verifies who the father is but simply accepts the consent form the woman provides. There are about 300,000 abortions in Japan each year, according to The Japan Times.
Linepharma claims that successfully killing innocent human beings in their earliest stages of development using the abortion pill is a win, but Linepharma is profiting from the deaths of preborn children and the desperation of women. And while doing so, it puts women’s health and lives at risk as well.

The abortion pill has been found to be four times more dangerous for women than first-trimester surgical abortion and carries the risks of incomplete abortion, infection, hemorrhaging, and death.
A 2015 study found that among the abortions reviewed, the complication rate was 5.2% for women who took the abortion pill compared to 1.3% for first-trimester surgical abortions. When reviewing the abortions that resulted in “major complications,” researchers discovered that severe complications occurred for the abortion pill at a rate of .31% compared to .16% for first-trimester surgical abortions. Yet the abortion industry claims that the abortion pill is as safe as Tylenol.
A preborn child has a beating heart just 23 days after fertilization and the abortion pill works to deprive that growing child of nutrients before forcing her out of her natural environment in her mother’s womb. Some women have spoken of the trauma of seeing their baby’s body after the abortion is complete. If Linepharma is successful, more women in Japan may have the same traumatizing experience.
