With the release of Live Action’s new undercover video regarding sex-selective abortions, Planned Parenthood released a statement that included the following:
Gender bias is contrary to everything our organization works for daily in communities across the country. Planned Parenthood opposes racism and sexism in all forms, and we work to advance equity and human rights in the delivery of health care. Planned Parenthood condemns sex selection motivated by gender bias, and urges leaders to challenge the underlying conditions that lead to these beliefs and practices, including addressing the social, legal, economic, and political conditions that promote gender bias and lead some to value one gender over the other.
They like to keep claiming this. The racism aspect of Planned Parenthood has been laid out very clearly in Live Action’s own undercover videos and perhaps the best in the shocking documentary Maafa 21. Planned Parenthood’s beloved founder is the esteemed Margaret Sanger, who was a notorious eugenicist.
The whole idea of Planned Parenthood is pretty obvious, given their name: Planned Parenthood. This is about “family planning.” That’s the situation depicted in Live Action’s videos: a woman has had a girl already and wants a boy. So if she’s pregnant with a girl, she wants to abort. That’s “family planning”: having how many children you want, of what sex you want (and how and with whom you want). Planned Parenthood exists to promote situations like the ones depicted in the videos. I don’t see how this is so contrary to everything their organization works for. This is exactly what their organization works for – getting your family just right.
Other abortion groups are even admitting that sex-selective abortions are happening. This is definitely happening in America, and that’s what these new videos prove.
These new stings hit Planned Parenthood right where it hurts the most. The people at Planned Parenthood are convinced that they are somehow the ultimate champions of women, women’s rights, and women’s health, and these new videos seriously undermine that. Or imagine if they were aborting babies because they were predicted to be gay? Is abortion on demand, for whatever reason, really ok? No matter how many children you kill of in the process? No matter what Planned Parenthood says in response, these videos are making a lot of people very uneasy.
The reality is: Planned Parenthood exists out of the conviction that all people are not equal. Be it because of race, gender, class or creed…Planned Parenthood continues to operate under the eugenicist legacy of its founder, of eliminating “undesirables” from society. This is population control. So PP’s statement is really ironic, given that its spokespeople are urging leaders to challenge the conditions that lead to this. I say the same thing: leaders, challenge this and defund Planned Parenthood.
Some of the other statements in Planned Parenthood’s response are interesting.
Recently, opponents of Planned Parenthood conducted hoax patient visits with hidden video cameras and are now using edited videotapes to promote false claims about our organization and patient services.
How exactly is this a hoax? Live Action went into their clinics and recorded them being perfectly willing to cooperate with sex-selective abortions. They admit that this happened in their clinic; they even fired one of their clinic workers because of this. And, as the next days will show, this is not an isolated event. Live Action has done this in their clinics all across the country.
In other statements, Planned Parenthood has let the cat out of the bag:
This spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood Federation of America also told The Huffington Post that the organization condemns seeking abortions on the basis of gender, but its policy is to provide “high quality, confidential, nonjudgmental care to all who come into” its health centers. That means that no Planned Parenthood clinic will deny a woman an abortion based on her reasons for wanting one, except in those states that explicitly prohibit sex-selective abortions (Arizona, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Illinois).
This means: Planned Parenthood will perform abortions for any reason. This is because at Planned Parenthood, abortion is the first order of business. Planned Parenthood’s mentality is abortion first.
