Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas has relocated to a new facility that it built in Central El Paso, and according to the pro-life Southwest Coalition for Life, the abortion giant used a fake name during the process.
Planned Parenthood began building the new multi-million dollar facility last year under the name “Pima Medical,” said Southwest Coalition in an email. The new building is located just 16 miles from an abortion facility in New Mexico, where Planned Parenthood staff can easily refer women for abortions that are illegal in Texas.
“[Planned Parenthood’s] history in El Paso tells a troubling story,” said Southwest Coalition for Life CEO Mark Cavaliere. “In 2009, their then-affiliate closed all centers in El Paso amidst financial instability and allegations of misconduct. Despite owing over $1 million in debt and being investigated for fraudulent billing, they returned in 2018, bolstered by $10 million from two private donors to build this facility — plans we had hoped were derailed by the overturn of Roe vs. Wade.”
The 4,800-square-foot facility will replace the existing one and offer contraception, STI testing and treatment, and hormones for so-called “gender-affirming care,” and will also spread its agenda through community outreach, education offices, and a community meeting room.

“I would say to anyone who maybe is unhappy with our presence in the community or this mission, that they just take a moment and pause and really examine what could possibly be wrong with empowering a person to claim their educational future, to claim their professional future, to plan and space their pregnancies and have control of the families they build or choose not to build?” Xochitl Rodriguez, Philanthropy and Community Affairs officer for Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, said.
Of course, nothing is wrong with any of that — unless you’re killing human beings to accomplish these things.
It is wrong to send women across the border to kill their babies under the false claim that women can’t achieve their educational or career goals without abortion. In addition, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas proved that it targets children with its agenda by launching a free summer program to teach fourth and fifth graders (ages 9 and 10) about sex, puberty, and sexuality —complete with sex ed camps and period parties. Its Middle School Sex Ed summer camp in Austin included teachings about gender, sexual identity, and birth control.
“The implications for our community are dire, especially alongside the pending $10 million tax-funded UNM abortion center in Las Cruces, which is also in collaboration with Planned Parenthood,” said Cavaliere. “As a region, we must be vigilant and united. Planned Parenthood’s record of sex-trafficking cover-ups, promoting pornography to youth, and focusing disproportionately on abortion services, stand in stark contrast to the support we aim to expand for women and families.”
